Allergies:

Does your baby have allergies/intolerances? She does

To what? Peanuts, dairy, eggs, wool, cats, detergents, perfumes.

Are you still breastfeeding? Yes.

What are their typical reactions? She gets hives, sneezing, runny nose, itchy watery eyes, the eggs gave her a hacking cough (which is why we took her in to ER)

When did they show signs of allergies/ intolerances at first? She first showed signs...well probably at 4 weeks when all her troubles started. I think it was allergies + acid reflux/DGE to begin with

Do you have a family history? Yes, Brian has a history of allergies, excema, and asthma. Violette has asthma, and Avis has excema.

Did your baby seem colicky in the beginning? Yes...lol thats why I asked this question.

Excema:

Does your baby have excema? Yes

Does it run in the family? Yes, Brian and Avis both have it.

What triggers it? Allergic reactions, sensitivities to detergents or perfume.

What calms down flare-ups? Benadryl (to stop the allergic reaction), Excema cream.

Asthma:

Does your baby have asthma? Nope

What triggers it? N/A

Do you have an inhaler for the baby? N/A

Is there a link with allergies? N/A

All three:

Does your baby have all of the above? Nope just allergies and excema

Excema:

Does your baby have excema? yes

Does it run in the family? not that I am aware of at least DH and I don't have it.

What triggers it? I honestly am not sure. Its not real bad so my first thought was laundry detergent but that hasn't seemed to help at all. Then I eliminated lotions and that wasn't helping either. No known food allergies either.

What calms down flare-ups? Using Aveeno Excema cream on the areas seems to help keep under control. I just add it to the spots and it helps. She really only has 3 spots of it. 1 on her back, 1 on her elbow/arm crease and a spot on her chest.
