I have a freaking UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION. I have never been sick this often my entire life, it's so funny. Sophie has never been "real" sick (knock on wood of course) but agskjhsdfksjhd, this is no fun. I am so used to being out and about, I have major cabin fever. The doctor told me to stay in and drink a lot of fluids.

The suck part of it is that the weather is so gorgeous and it's starting to warm up.

Anyone else getting sick more than their babies???
Any suggestions for natural ways to boost your immune system? ::coughSeemacough::

I've been sick more times since having Aaron than I have in years....I think I've been sick 3 or 4 times since having him. Him on the other hand? He had a little cold once for 3 days and was over it quickly and without much fuss.

I've found the best way to keep healthy is to eat healthy and try to get as much sleep as possible.

Feel better soon!

LOL Holly, I'm sorry, I had to laugh when I read your capitalized upper respiratory infection, because it means the common cold, but it seems so much more dramatic the way you wrote it--but it sucks and I'm sorry you are sick!!! Unfortunately it usually takes 10-14 days to recover.

I'm not a big believer in many things to boost your immune system other than vitamins (I'm sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins still since you are breastfeeding) and getting plenty of rest (not always easy when you are a mom!)... some claim that zinc (zycam) helps but clinical trials show that the level of zinc needed for benefit has serious side effects.

I know, I *am* a drama queen---it's sinusitis! LOL

I take freaking EVERYTHING still. I take prenatals, I take extra calcium (Well, the TJ's chews), I take fish oil, I even drink this crap every morning that my super-hippy Doula sells.

Bahhh.
