Well, it was a 50/50 appt. Avery is growing like a little weed. She is 29.5" (90th) & 19.5lbs (50th). However, she STILL has an ear infection. I started her on her 3rd course of antibiotic today. She also has a yeast rash from all the antibiotics she's been on. We defered on her vaxs because I feel her poor little immune system needs some recovery time. I'm really starting to stress about this ear business. I really don't want to put her through surgery, too.

Ethan had his 30 month check-up as well. He is 37" tall & 34lbs. I'm 5' 7", and DH is only 5' 10"... where are we getting these tall babies?!? He is having horrible seasonal allergies, so the pedi wants me to take him to an allergist.

oh no!!! All I can say is we both know how much surgery changed their lives, and ours. I put off tubes for a LONG time. They wanted them in at 6 months for Kaitlyn, I said no, finally after constant infections that nothing would help, I agreed at 11 months, and that was the BEST decision I ever made.

With Kaileigh she had those 2 in the beginning, and they said, if she had 3 or 4 by 6 months they would go ahead and do tubes, but thank the lord, she hasnt had anymore.

Sorry, not meaning to ramble about my kids. I just feel like I can relate to you about that so well.

I dont understand the length either. My oldest has always been in the 90% or more at every check up, BUT at her 4 yr checkup she dropped to %50. She was was tall as a baby, toddler, but now her height has slowed down.

Great apt though!

That sucks about the ear infections. At least the rest of the appointment went well. I hear you on the tall kids. I'm 5'7" and DH is 5'8". I measured DD the other day and she was 46"! She's the tallest kid in her kindergarten class. I'm not sure about Wyatt, but he wears 12-18 month pants that fit just fine.
