Liz, I've always wanted to, even when Riley was a baby. I just never followed through it. It's always peaked my interest, I tend to like natural things and cloth diapering seems to go hand in hand with my parenting style. Plus my new year's resolution was for us to live more organically, more simply, more greener and healthier and this was just one more reason to do so
Plus I don't really like disposables, the chemicals make me cringe and if you've ever had a diaper explode on you and see all those little crystal things you're never really the same
The reason holding me back was we lived in a super tiny town in the middle of the nowhere and I didn't really have many resources. I have a hard time buying things online that I haven't seen/felt before (I rarely buy clothes online for this reason) and even though I had read all the cd websites, had my cart filled online more times than I can count, I just never followed through with it because of the unknown. I went into 2 local stores this week, felt, touched, listened to others about cloth and bit the bullet and went for it.
So far, I love it

I currently have 8 diapers, just bought a happy heiny for her easter basket so 9. In the mail I have 7 more coming along with some prefolds (and thirsty covers) and a wetbag. I'm going to make my own homemade wipes this weekend too!
