Sorry!! lol I think I'm about to quit right now. Here's the conversation we had this morning, via text of course, because once again, I couldn't find my payment --
Me: Did you leave a check anywhere?
Her: Cash is under the phone book in the cabinet above the microwave.
Me: I looked under all 3 phone books and don't see anything. (at this point, I'm thinking "****, she didn't leave me anything, and if I come back and say that, she'll accuse me of lying, because it's cash)
Her: I put it there Melissa. There are 10 $20's. I'm broke as hell. It had better be there. Second shelf. And we need to discuss pay. I just can't do $250. I will pay you the rest for this week because we agreed on that but I am broke like sooooooo broke.
Me: It's on the second shelf. But it should be $250. I'm sorry, but I'm hurting for money too, and expect to be paid as agreed. Some of my automated bill payments were drafted today since the 1st (when they're normally drafted) is on a Sunday, but my husband doesn't get paid until tomorrow so I'm overdrawn. I am sorry, but I can't accept lower, this is less than what I would typically accept for compensation as it is. Will your husband be able to bring the additional $50 to me today?
Her: I told you I would pay you Melissa, as agreed. You don't have to yell.
Me: I'm not yelling at all, just explaining my situation. I just need it today so I can go to the bank to fix my bill mess.
Her: I will ask him
Needless to say, I'm pretty fed up. I'm nervous about telling her though lol I know she's having a hard time, but it's not fair to me.

I am too... just... ugh, it's always one thing after another, and my list of reasons to quit just has gotten longer and longer. Plus, she and I have butted heads one too many times for this to work. IMO, if someone is watching my babies, and I, as the parent, don't mesh with them, it doesn't matter how good they are with my kids, or how much my kids like them, I'm not going to keep them. Another thing that drives me CRAZY is how she always uses my name when talking to me, it's very condescending IMO, like she's talking down to me. Then again, she has 9 kids, it's probably just how she's used to conversing lol But seriously, not that she would know, but I go by my nickname, "Mel" most of the time, so when anyone uses my full name, I feel like I'm in trouble lol

So when I was leaving her house today, I hadn't even gotten out of the neighborhood, thank goodness, she texted me and said her ex-DH left the additional $50 under the doormat. I ran back to get it, then when I got home, texted her back: "Thanks for that. Look, this whole situation is just not working out for me. I'm sorry, but you're going to need to find someone else, effective immediately. I didn't realize at the beginning what all this would entail, and how far it actually is for me to drive every day, and the income is too inconsistent on a week-to-week basis. I'm sorry."
I was all nervous, thinking she'd call and be all upset and give me a guilt trip. Her response? She texted me back, "That's fine"
Hmmmmmm... She's probably used to this by now though. And I had a whole argument with supporting examples ready to go! Oh well, easy out. I'M FREE!!!!!!
        
Can ya tell I'm excited?? lol
