Lyla eats it all, pretty much whatever we're eating. Last night she had ham, wild rice, and green beans.

no teeth here yet so Brendan has only had a little bit of shredded cheese, a bits of a banana. I'm not sure what else to give him that he could chew.

Joey just started with finger foods, so he is eating puff snacks, peas & broccoli (just tiny pieces of the floret. I have tried steaming apples and chopping them small but he has a hard time picking them up cuz they are so slimy.

What about salt, oil/butter or other spices? Can they eat that too or do you leave that out of your food? I'm just not sure when to introduce these things to my LO, I thought salt was a big no no.

We had breakfast for dinner last night so Chase got to have blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. He LOVES to feed himself so I'm starting to give him more table food. It's so much easier when he can feed himself.

We don't usually add salt at the stove, so it's not a big deal. I don't worry too much about spices, but if I make something with honey or nuts we give Lyla something else.

however, I am careful not to give him things that are high in sugar, salt, or fat.

Crush up some cheerios and roll the fruit in the cheerio dust before giving them, that makes them easier for them to pick up.

As far as scrambled eggs, I do believe that it's not safe for babies to have egg whites before they are 1. Here's the info.
Here are some other ideas about things to feed them.

Adeline has had peas, green beans and bananas.. I cook with so many spices so I have to watch what I give her.. I don't want to upset her tummy.

when I had my daughter 3 years ago, this was the "rule" but 3 months ago I took a baby food making course and they told me that eggs are fine as long as there aren't any family members with an allergy to eggs. same with strawberries. I guess there is just more and more new information being found about it, I couldn't believe it had changed from when I had my first baby.

that being said, Nathan has eggs all the time and we have no problems. of course if you don't feel comfortable feeding your child something, you certainly don't have to.

Tommy is doing better with table foods. He is starting to pick things up and gum them. He doesn't have teeth yet either, I just watch him very carefully.

Stretten pretty much eats anything and everything...he eats mashed potatoes, carrots, mac n cheese, greenbeans, pasta, black olives, he got ahold of Brecken's egg the other day that he threw off the highchair that I didn't see until dh dug it out of his mouth thankfully there was no reaction, pancakes, frenchfries, chips(once again one Brecken dropped we dug it out), marshmellows, graham crackers, saltine crackers, chocolate candy (grandparents got him some for Easter I figured oh well let him have fun lol), cookies, he's had salami, I'm sure there's more, but can't think right now....

How small are these pieces? Avery still won't eat baby food but I gave her a piece of steamed broccoli once and she loved it, but I'm too paranoid she'll choke. She doesn't have teeth yet but still "chewed" her broccoli.

Jackson LOVES table food. He eats pretty much whatever we are eating. Sometimes it is VERY messy lol. He loves quesadillas, grilled cheese, chicken, hamburger, noodles, mac and cheese, anything. He has no teeth and does just fine chewing up his food!
