Those who are doing it...

What are you feeding?

How often? How much?

Give us a sample menu.

kenna eats table food, usually it's what we're eating but if it's something she can't have i'll fix her something else. today for breakfast she ate half of a tj's waffle with some yobaby yogurt on top (no syrup of course lol) and some cheerios, for lunch she had half of a veggie burger, green beans and cucumbers (I made sierra's cucumbers into shapes with a star and took the negatives from that cutout, peeled off the peel and made them bite sized for kenz) and for dinner we are having black bean burgers (i will make hers non spicy) and salad which she will probably have some more green beans (these were freshly made but we'll do frozen too--we try not to buy canned anymore) and maybe some croutons or cheese from the salad.

London normally eats what ever we do. I just make it into small pieces. Well she normally has 3 meals a day with 2 snacks. She loves graham crackers, yogurt, applesauce and cheerios for snack. Last night we had baked chicken, green beans and rice. Since she is on table food full time I try to only make meals she can eat. I refuse to buy anymore baby food.

Ill give her some finger food after her dinner for example or for afternoon snack.
She'll have apple, advocado, banana, toast, strawberries, oven chips etc

Sophie eats what we do for the most part.

In the morning we do Yo Baby with TJ's waffles too (so funny Kristen) but really like the Blueberry ones *OR* the Earth's Best Mini Waffles. They are the perfect size for her hands. I've also done pancakes or biscuits.

At lunch I have been doing macaroni noodles and mixing them with pureed vegetables (today I did it with cauliflower) and she loved it.
I totally am going to try the Gardenburgers, that sounds really easy!

Dinner is always the easiest for us. On Easter she ate everything we did---Cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, and ham, lol

I try to give her bites of pureed fruit as "dessert" --- sometimes she will take it, and she never turns down Bananas.

Well, one of my girlfriends has started her own homemade organic baby food business so I have been buying it from her (because I am way lazy these days, ha) and since Sophie won't eat purees on her own for a meal, I had to figure out new ways to use it so I didn't completely waste it!

I really need to try the waffles with yogurt thing...that's such a good idea. I just keep running out of ideas to keep Leah interested.

I'm still mostly giving her baby food. The major problem with feeding her what I eat..well, for breakfast I had pb and J (obviously she can't have peanut butter), for lunch I had a deli turkey sandwhich (not sure about deli meats being ok? Anyone know?) , and for dinner I'm having pizza.

No wonder I don't fit into any of my clothes!! I need to start eating healthier... both for my benefit and hers.

kenna loved her black bean burger (that had onions and green peppers in it) and i ended up fixing spanish rice which she devoured as well!

Caleb eats what ever we eat. He now refuses to eat baby food.

Breakfast: yobaby yogurt, scrambled eggs

lunch: grilled chicken, peas

Dinner: ground beef, bread, mashed sweet potatoes

I am totally with on this. Not to hijack the thread, but I have also basically determined that I have been starving the kid. Everyone says "feed him what you eat" and I realized, I don't really eat that well. I live on PB&Js, with the occasional salad and pizza and cereal w/milk. He can't have ANY of that. I really need to start cooking.

Unforunately, this is us as well. DH grills a lot of steaks. Fattening ribeyes that she obviously cant have. She does eat what we have to go with it. Usually mashed potatoes and broccoli or some sort of green veggie. Last night we had pizza though, so she ate some pureed foods. I have got to stop being lazy, but Im exhausted after working all day to cook

Liz & Seema, it's ok...that's how we ate when we just Riley too. But now that we have 2 older kids, we HAVE to eat healthy, full meals so it's easy to give some Kenna too. It's part of life now. I do miss the days I could just pop in a pizza and eat it on the couch

For the most part he eats what we do. Occasionally we have something he can't but for the most part we eat healthy and tried to avoid his food allergens. I can tell you from experience it's not fair to the kid for the parents to always eat stuff in front of you that you can't have. My parents did that to me quite a bit growing up and it sucks so I'm already being really conscious about it with Aaron.
