I know for a LONG time a lot of us have screamers so I thought I'd see how they are doing.

How are all the car seat screamers doing?

Getting better?

What has been working??

Im probably jinxing it but for about a week now Kaileigh doesnt cry at ALL in the van. It's like all of a sudden she just doesnt cry anyone. She either plays with a toy or plays with her sister, or falls asleep which is rare because she used to never sleep in the car seat, EVER.

makenna is a totally different baby! thank GOSH! she screamed and screamed and screamed nearly every car ride up until i last went back to Indiana in February. Now she's totally fine except she fights me to get buckled. Once I shut her door and start the van she's good. I think part of is we removed one of our captain's chairs and moved the 2 other kids in the back and she can see them now.

Emmett freaks out when I try to strap him in and fights tooth and nail...but once he is buckled, he is fine. Strange.

Ty screamed the first couple months, then we never really took him anywhere but right near home all through winter, and just in the last month we have started taking him places again, and now he screams horrible all over again Three weeks ago, on a weekend, my mom, Julia, Ty and I all went up to our property that is 2 hours away to check on things. Ty was alright for the first hour going up there, but screamed for about 30 minutes then he fell asleep and was fine...until the ride home. It was horrific and late at night and ugh it was awful. He screamed so bad on the ride home that I had to pull off the freeway at almost every exist and nurse him to try to get him to sleep. Finally half way home, he nursed to sleep. Ugh, I hope this is a fast passing phase because all summer long, we make the trip up to our property and the ocean at least 2-3 times a week! He should quickly get used to the long drive....I hope

Avery is so much better. We were up in PA visiting over Easter & she did pretty well. She still gets crabby & doesn't ride nearly as well as Ethan did at this age, but much, much better than when she was an itty bitty baby.

Better, thank goodness! He still has his moments and will actually try to squeeze his legs tight so I can't buckle him in.

Juliana is much better! As long as she has a toy to play with, she's fine most of the time.

Much better too. She will fall asleep a lot of the time. For long rides I still ride in the back while my husband drives. However, this week I was driving home from the library (a ten minute drive) and she got so angry that she clawed the inside of her mouth and made it bleed. As soon as I opened the door she started laughing and smiling at me, with a little trickle of blood in the corner of her mouth. It was freaky!
