So, right now, I'm in Atlanta on a work trip that I should be here until Friday for. However, today, my home town and all of my state (Alabama) has been HAMMERED by more tornadoes than I've ever seen in my life. The last time we saw this many was in 1974. I'm used to tornadoes, they don't usually worry me, but this is scarey and insane!! My family is at home without me. I don't know how they are because the power went out and won't be back on for at least one, more than likely 2-3 days.

The last time I talked with them, they were all home and safe. But my daughter now is sick with a fever. She talked to me and said, "Mommy, why aren't you here? I need you!!" So the storms are everywhere and I can't get home and my babies are sick and now I don't even know how they are at all.

If you are praying people, please pray for me and my family.

Yeah, it's absolutely crazy. We had a warning here in Baltimore and we have a watch till like 2 am. My friends house (she's here on JM actually) got hit by the tornado in Louisiana but they're all ok.

Oh my gosh, I am praying for you and your family. It must be scary not being with them right now. I've been watching what's going on over there on the news.

How terrible! I hate that you can't be with them now!! I hope you can get in touch soon!

This past week has been crazy weather. We're dealing with flooding in parts of Louisville and in Owensboro where we're from. Some places are being evacuated and the river's not done rising yet. I think we've been in at least 3 or 4 tornado warnings this past week too but there have been so many more all around us. Yesterday it looked like a tornado was heading straight for my sister's town but it just barely missed them. It could have been a lot worse like it was farther south in TN, AL, GA, and MS today. Today came pretty close to rivaling the outbreak in April 1974 from what I understand.

Still haven't heard from my immediate family, but my mother did get in touch with me and she said they were ok. She said the area where my house is did not have damage. So I am certain they are all ok, but I can't talk with them at all.

We are about to leave to go home. We're going to stop at Walmart here before leaving so we can get things because now the optimistic estimate for when our power will come back on is 4-5 days. Maybe longer. We might just load up and leave for a while and go to Texas or South Carolina where we have family. Ugh... this is so bad. I have so many friends who have been able to say they are ok, but their houses were flattened. I haven't heard from many, many more friends. This is going to take forever to clean up!!

Glad to hear your family is okay. We had warnings around here too. I heard one touched down about 1.5 hours away. They are not that common around here either.

We are in very southern Alabama and thankfully did not get touched. Unfortunately, we have lots of friends who live in the Tuscaloosa area and were effected by the severe weather. I am praying for your family!
