I was not prepared for this! Wyatt is trying to climb everywhere. Twice now, he's been on top of the toy box. There is a basket with books next to it. He climbed on the books and onto the toy box. It just happened out of nowhere. This morning he climbed into his infant-toddler rocker all by himself and got out without falling.

When DD was this age she was crazy about stairs. At our old house we had a finished basement where we would play. Often times I "lost" her because she took off up the stairs! Wyatt has even been near stairs. We have a gate blocking off the doorway to the stairs because they are open to the basement.

I guess it's time to rearrange the toys so he can't use them as step stools!

Anyone else climbing?

Yes!!!! It's driving me crazy! She is a climber, and my first wasnt so this is all new to me. She even climbs INTO the toy box we have in the living room. It's not tall like a normal one, but she still has to pull her leg up over it, and basically tumbles into it. She will not go around things she will climb over OR under if possible. I also caught her trying to stand up on the bottom shelf of her changing table. Almost looked like she was climbing a ladder. It was cute but scary. In the bathroom she TRIES to climb into the tub. Thank goodness she hasn't yet, but I'm assuming any day she will have it figured out.

Oh yes! Ty is driving me insane My girls were never climbers at all, and with Ty that is all he wants to do. I swear I do nothing all day but try to keep him from climbing and falling on his head. I actually spent the whole day today rearranging his room and taking certain toys out, after this morning he was standing holding to a toy shelf and he fell over onto a truck..ugh enough.

Sophie FLEW up the stairs the other day. I was cooking and she turned around as she pulled up on the bottom step and laughed at me. I said "No no, stay there" and before I knew it she had gone up to the step before the landing (our stairs go up, there's a landing, and then more steps) I almost had a heartattack because I just knew she was going to stop, stand up, and fall back. Of course when she saw me coming she went even faster....aghsfsfs.
