I have just gotten power and internet back at my home since the tornadoes hit on Wednesday. My family is fine, thank God. Most of my friends were relatively unaffected. I have a number of friends in Tuscaloosa and a few in Cullman that lost almost everything.

We have only recently gone out to begin helping with clean up, as they've completed rescue in some areas (some areas are still finding people under the rubble... a few have even been alive!). Today I worked all day and I can truly say the pictures on the news do not do it justice.

If you can help by donating, I urge you to do so. I don't ask for things like this, but I just can't help feeling heartbroken over this loss of life and loss of homes.

:-( I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what it would be like to live through all that. We donate all the time through the SBC disaster relief fund, but we'll have to go add some more. I'm so sad for so many people.
