I posted last week about Emily STTN now. She still is. Well, since she has been sleeping all night, she has been going to bed a little later, almost 8 instead of 7. Getting her to go to sleep has been awful. As soon as you pick her up and she realizes that means bed, she starts fighting it. She screams and screams and then eventually gives in and sleeps great. How can I make going to bed much easier (so I dont rip my hair out). We have a bedtime routine (bath then bottle), but lately it has gotten off because she is staying up later. Any ideas on how to make it more peaceful on all of us?????????????????????

How long does she sleep at night? Is she still napping well or has STTN pushed her naps around?

I would say that if her naps are off, she's probably over-tired by the time you start your bed time routine. If she's still napping well, it's possible she just isn't tired at 7 pm anymore. You may have to wake her up earlier in the am and/or try to get her afternoon nap to start & end sooner. That way she will be ready for bed at 7.

You may want to add something to her nightime routine, too. Baths amp Avery up; she loves them & gets all excited. They definitely don't have the soothing effect they did when she was a newborn. You might want to try baby massage or looking at books, something quiet & mellow between bath & bottle before bed. Good Luck!!
