Then again, taking her jogging with me would really help solve some of my issues with trying to find time for workouts.

To me, they are night and day. First, they have super duper shocks in them so that the babies bounce less, especially on sidewalk cracks and curbs. Emmett barely moves in his while I sail over all sorts of things on the path. Also, they are very nicely aligned so you have push with one hand and really get into the jogging motion. With regular strollers, to me, they get annoying because they are jarring so much it sends the vibrations up my arms. Plus, I really have to manhandle both sides to keep it going straight down the path.
I find that I can go significantly faster with a jogging stroller, so I can get a better workout. (Seriously, minutes faster per mile). I actually do some intervals with mine too. (yes, I'm sure you activate your arms a little more with a regular stroller but IMO can't get a great running workout.)
To me, the worst thing about regular strollers is that you often tend to kick them when you are running fast...which can be disastrous for baby (or dog who might be next to stroller).
Oh, one more thing....the handlebar height is usually a bit higher so you can be more upright when you run.
My running stroller also has a safety strap and hand brake for downhill type stuff.
I'm a huge fan. But, that said, you don't HAVE to have one. It's a nice luxury and, for me, means I can run all the same routes/distances that I was doing before.
