Whenever Leah has a play date with her baby friends, she is really rough (ie trying to poke the other baby in the eye, patting/hitting, pulling hair). She's not trying to be mean. She's just overly excited and curious. Of course she doesn't understand "no," but I can't let her beat up other people's kids, lol. What should I do? How do you all's LO's interact with other babies?

At this age the only thing you really can to is just say "no" in a stern voice and redirect her attention onto something else. When Caleb pulls his sister's hair I say, "NO NO, gentle" Than I move him to a different spot. They will catch on eventually.

IDK. Since Juliana isn't mobile she's usually the one getting her butt kicked by the other kids, and I just wonder about how much I should intervene to save her or let her fend for herself!

Jr is really rough, but not in a mean spirited way. He has a cousin that will be one on monday, but Jr is a lot bigger than him, so he's always knocking him down, and pulling his hair, and stuff. I agree all you can do is just say no. I know Carlos is starting to understand no because at the house if he's going somewhere he's not supposed to, I'll tell him no, and he'll stop and sit there crying. lol

Luca doesn't have playdates as I don't know anyone with a baby his age but he can be super rough with Noah and he bites me. I say no sternly and give him a cross look and he totally knows what it means. He whimpers and cuddles me when he gets in trouble, it's cute!

This makes me sad. I really never thought of how I'd feel on the other side of the spectrum. I think I would want to smack a kid if they got rough with Leah, lol...

One of Sophie's friends likes to bat babies on the head, haha. Sophie is always in awe of other babies, she'll make eye contact and slowly try to take toys out of babies hands :X

Nah, I mostly just wish Juliana would get tough enough to fend for herself. Mostly the moms intervene and she's never been hurt, other than one little bite mark when the baby was a little too fast for us. Juliana didn't even cry though, she just started in amazement.

I try to pull her away, because I know how much she hurts even me with her sharp little nails and hair-pulling!! Its easier because she isn't mobile yet. I think its the parents responsibility to intervene since the kids are too young to understand at this point.
