Arie and I were out in the little park area in front of the building earlier today and there were these siblings playing a game (their mom was there too, on her cellphone). The oldest girl was about...I'd guess maybe 7-8? And the younger sister looked to be about 4-5 and the brother about 3-4(sorry, so bad at guessing ages! Anyway, she was a few years older than her siblings). Swas SOOO bossy I was dying laughing. Making up rules to a game ("you can't go on the stairs or the grass. Actually, the grass over here is ok, but no going on the grass on that side!") and THEN (this is the part that cracked me up), made her younger siblings repeat after her ("Where can you not go?" "The stairs and this grass" "Yes, that's right." )

Were you gals bossy as kids? If you are a BTDT mom, are your older kids bossy? I was bossy to a certain degree...I think being an older sister gives me the right. The funny thing is, I have an older brother, just a year old, but I was pretty bossy to him as well. I don't think I was as bad as this girl though. She was so funny!

I think I was, just to my younger sister though. Apparently I'd always say 'if you do this, I'll give you a lolly' but never gave her one and one day I said this to her and she said 'no!' I was devastated haha

My sister was the bossy one. One time, she told my little school friend that he had to play with her or he had to go home. She was always standing with her hands on her hips, and even dared to sass our parents a few times She's still like that today

My sister was incredibly bossy to the point where she wrote out a transcript of what I was suppose to say while playing house and Barbies. She hated it when I finally learned I could tell her no.

LOL!!

I was a second child, so I wasn't bossy and I don't really remember my older sister being too bossy either.

Now that Rachel is crawling, Kyla has started to tell her what to do, what she can and can't touch/play with/etc. I try not to let her see me laughing, but sometimes it's hard!

I'm the youngest of three girls, so I was the one getting bossed all the time. My middle sister was AWFUL, and she was really mean...seriously. lol My mom was in school, and my dad even had to make her start riding the tractor with him because she would hurt me and my other sister.
Of my kids, my daughter was definitely the bossiest. I would get on to her some, but i would try to get my son to stick up for himself, too. She was younger by 13 months, but always (still to this day) thinks she is in charge of him....

I wasnt bossy either. Maybe because I had a much older sibling though. Kaitlyn isnt bossy at age 4, but my step-niece who is 8 is very bossy and she's an only child.

sounds like my niece!
She's just like that..always making up rules when her and her sister's are playing. Then she'll change the rules as they go along so it always works in her favor....

I will admit, I was SUPER bossy. I am the oldest of 3 and my sisters and I were all in gymnastics and dance. I would force them to practice these routines and their skillls for HOURS and HOURS in the front lawn. I wanted to be a choreographer back then I would make up these elaborate routines and we would practice over and over and over. My sisters are quite a bit younger than me and I would freak out if they would get tired or didn't last the session.

HAHAHa! I am the oldest of 4 girls and yes I was very bossy. I told the how, when and where! (snapping fingers and rolling of the neck). 9 times out of 10 they would listen or I would come up with some torture method! Mean...I know. Caden is showing signs of bossiness. He is the type that tells everyone the rules and tries to enforce them!!! I do my best to control his attitude though because being bossy is not cool!

LOL! I was the oldest and only had one sibling, a sister 4 1/2 years younger than me. I was so bossy. Growing up I actually had her believing that if she didn't do what I said than I could summon a "mean lion" to come eat her. HAHAHA Oh, and if she was good and did what I wanted I would summon the "good lion" to case the "mean lion" away. It worked until she was 6! Even today we joke about it and I say I'll sick the mean lion on her. Oh, but I was also very protective of my sister...I still am. So even though I can boss her around no body else better mess with her!

Hey, the younger one gets all the attention so the older one gets to be bossy... that's just IMO.

That is funny! I used to play this game with my younger siblings were I was told to do a certain chore, like clean the living room. I would tell them hey lets see who can clean the fastest! Go! hahaha they would take off really fast picking things up and racing to the trash can! It was hilarious..I never had a prize and they would do it ALL the time..you think they would get a clue. Needless to say I rarely had to clean any room! blahahahah

LOL my mom used to do this with the three of us. We were all like "we don't care who is fastest." We were (and still are) very lazy!
