We won a free trip!

Hooolllly crap, I am still "OMGing" over this.

So our favorite mexican restaurant here in town had a drawing tonight for a free trip to Cabo If you clicked "like" on the business, you automatically got entered but you had to be present at the drawing to win. So they have like 700 likes at least and then people have been signing up all week.

Sean told me, I kid you not, 2 weeks ago and was like, "If you think about it statistically, you have a good chance of winning because people are going to forget, etc."

So I put Sophie down for a late late nap today and we went there at about 7. The drawing was at 9 (Sophie was a champ) and they were going to draw until they picked someone who was there.

Well, the 4th name the drew was Sean's! I would have been excited to win a tee shirt but this is nuts. We're planning on going in October, or maybe January. We have a year to use it so I guess we'll see. The funny thing is my FB status was: Happy Cinco De Mayo! Me, Michael Sean Christensen, and Sophie are going to have dinner at La Rosa Mexican Kitchen! (Maybe we will win that trip to Cabo, one can hope!) My girlfriends thought I was joking when I texted them tonight, go figure.

All I know is that now I am going to talk about winning Powerball on my FB every week. Haha

P.S. - I know this is totally random but I just had to share it with someone else because I never win anything!

OMG! Im so excited for you!!! What all does it include? Plane? Food? How many people get to go? Ahhh...I seen you put that on FB and I thought, "wow, that would be neat!"

It doesn't include airfare (which is a bummer, but we have miles and a flight to Cabo is less than a flight to Texas from over here) but it's a huge luxury condo at a resort, you can have up to 8 people. (It has a couple of bedrooms) We saw a few pictures, it's really really nice. It's 4 days, 3 nights but you can add extra days for like a fraction of what it would cost normally---so I think we might add one more day. I think a couple of meals are free, and some alcohol---but even with flights it's definitely an awesome deal.

Awesome! I saw your fb status & hoped you would win. That is sooooo exciting! I am going to try that on fb too, hopefully it will help us get a new car today. My car died so we are car shopping.

Last year DF and I won a trip to Vancouver for the Olympics..it was AMAZING! Same thing -- ours didn't include airfare, but with miles it wasn't too bad.

It'll be such a great trip!
