Mom, MIL and my Grandma are all getting a candy dish filled with their favourite candy, and cards from us and Maggie. We're also hosting a pot luck bbq tomorrow.

Nothing for my MIL right now. I'll have DD call her tomorrow. We will see her next week and will probably treat her to dinner. We are going to my parent's tomorrow so DD will get my mom flowers.

My MIL is in heaven...so nothing

For my mom, I potted her 3 of my strawberry plants from my yard, bought her a potted daisy plant, and am making her lasange, and spaghetti made into "mom" size portions (she doesnt eat much LOL) and putting them in freezer containers for her to heat up after work so she doesnt have to cook, and also baking her chocolate chip cookies My siblings and I are also taking her out to dinner Mothers Day night. Thats it!

Both of our Moms have passed, so it's kind of a bummer for us. Only one grandmother left, and it's his grandma in Mexico, so we won't see her either.

I buy her some hanging flower plants each year. I was going to visit next weekend, but now we have to go to our old house in Maine, so I'm not sure when I'll actually get to Rhode Island to bring them to her

Mom - We sent flowers, cards, and a Pandora charm from Sophie.

MIL - A flaming bag of dog poo.

Just kidding. That would be much too nice!

Kind of a long explanation. LOL

Well with Easter, my birthday, and our anniversary just passing my MIL does what she always does, and puts too much money into cards. So she gave each child $25 in a card for Easter. $25 into an Easter card for DH and I. She put $80 into a card for our Anniversary, and $100 into a birthday card for me. She CANNOT afford any of that. We know that for a fact. We have tried on numerous occasions to give her the $$ back when she does that, but she flat out refuses, and gets super upset. So we tricked her this year. We used the money for Mother's Day. We put a $100 grocery gift card into her Mother's Day card, along with a $75 sterling silver chain to replace the one she accidentally broke that we gave her for her birthday last summer. Then we gave her an Easter card (b/c we didn't see her at Easter) with a $60 gift card to her favourite coffee shop (Tim Hortons). Oh, and an Easter Lily. We are all she has for family. Literally.

We didn't give back the $ she gave to the kids in their Easter cards. We didn't feel that was right b/c we would be deciding for the kids.

For my Mother we just got her a nice card, and a solar light up butterfly that glows blue in the night. We also hosted her mother's day dinner at our place, and split the cost of dinner with siblings, but paid for dessert ourselves.
