I'm not ordinarily the person who sends these kinds of messages out, but about the crappiest thing that possibly could have happened to spoil my first mother's day has happened, and I need whatever prayers people can send up.

On Thursday night my mom was taken to the ER. Apparently she had chest pains earlier in the week, and her regular dr sent her straight to the hospital when she finally went in to have him check her out on Thursday. She didn't go to the hospital straight away because it wasn't as painful as her first heart attack 5 years ago.

She's still in the hospital, and they've determined it was a real good warning that she got. But they're still not sure whether or not they're going to fix her existing stint or do something else. Regardless, my mom's in the hospital for Mother's day, my first mother's day, and she won't be coming to our big bbq, and above all else, I'm worried sick. I feel crappy, and I feel stupid for feeling even slightly selfish about it, but she wouldn't let me cancel it like I first wanted to. First and foremost, I want her to be healthy and back at full capacity as soon as possible. I've just been so looking forward to this for so long. It simply stinks.

My mom is my best friend.

Awww, praying for your mom!!! Don't feel bad for feeling selfish, think about it this way, if you were in your mom's place and Maggie was in your place, you wouldn't want her to feel bad. ((((HUGS)))) KUP!

Oh, no. That's terrible, not to mention so close to Mother's Day. You're mom is in my thoughts.

Thank you ladies. It appears appealing to you helped immensely. I went to see her this morning, and they ran more tests, and decided to discharge her and manage her as an outpatient. She came straight to the house for our bbq. She's way tired, and didn't stay long, but she shared my first mother's day and got to spend some of it with her grandkids. That meant so much to me.

So thank you for your prayers. We'll be finding more out as she goes for more tests and such, but at least she's not in the hospital any longer. What a relief!

I hope you all had a most spectacular mother's day!
