Lyla is still not understanding the concept of the sippy cup!! We have tried several and haven't had much success. Lyla understands how to hold it and knows to put in her mouth, but then she just chews on the spout. So, I'm wondering if your LO has mastered the sippy cup and what brand(s) you're using or have tried.

No, my LO does the same thing, he chews on the spout and just throws it around. If I hold it and tilt his head back he might take a few sips.

Jackson can get it up to his mouth but doesn't understand that he needs to tip it. He loves drinking his water though with help.

We're all about the sippy cup now. He usually on BFs morning & night so the rest of the day is milk in the sippy. I've tried a bunch but we've found a winner! Cups and Spouts < Nûby? Products | Nûby?

Jackson does okay with his sippy, we use Nuby's as well. We started giving it to him at 6 months and for a while he just chewed on it but they do get it eventually if you give it to them a lot (like 3-4 times per day). He knows how to tip it back now and can suck water out of it, our biggest problem is that he still chokes on the water because it comes out too fast for him I guess? He is still only breastfed and almost never had a bottle so maybe that's why.

We have 2 one Nuby and on Gerber I think hard spout. She did much better with the hard spout but got upset because she couldn't chew it. So we tried the nubby and she just tosses it to the side. She did well when we first introduced it but I never kept up at it so now she is back to square one.

Ellie knows how to use a real straw, but she has trouble with the sippy cup. I'm thinking of trying one that has a straw to see if she can work that one. I think if we go back and forth between the sippy and the straw, it might confuse her.

Chase started out with a straw sippy cup but quickly learned how to use a hard regular one from wanting to drink from his brother's cups. He also can do the soft top ones now. He did start out just chewing on them....but he's mastered them all now.

Adeline is a pro at the sippy! We use one with the handles and a soft spout (don't remeber the name brand)
