In the past few days my daughter has started sitting up at night...and last night it was ridiculous!!! It was ALL NIGHT. I'd lay her back down and she would sit up again.

I don't think she wakes up and sits up...at least not all the way. Half the time she still seems asleep and the other half its almost as if she sits up and THAT wakes her up, because she'll start whining like "how did I get here? I'm tired!"

I don't think she is practicing sitting up since she's been doing it for a several weeks...unless she is perfecting it? Anyone else's kid doing this or is she posessed?

lol...she must be possessed.

Her head's not spinning is it? Cuz if it is, you might consider a more forceful approach to ending the co-sleeping...lol

hahaha, I've heard that sleep can sometimes get messed up when they learn new "tricks". I hope she settles down for you!

Eva's kind of doing this. Theres no way we could lay her down and hope that she'll just go to sleep by herself, which she used to do occasionally cause she just sits up and pulls up on her cot.
Even when she's half asleep she'll roll on her front to sit up straight away.

When Aaron started sitting up is when we started having issues co-sleeping and we really had to stop when he learned how to crawl (he would try to crawl off the bed). I hope you find a solution to it because we had to stop and keep him in his crib all night. Good luck!

Wyatt does this. Sometimes he's crying and when I go to check on him he's sitting up looking confused! More often though, he just stands up in his crib. I've watched him wake up, his eyes open and he simultaneously stands up. He never lays in his crib awake. It's weird to me because DD would wake up and lay in her crib and babble for a few minutes.

I'm at this point now. I don't want to co-sleep anymore either. He wakes up in the morning and immediately crawls to the edge of the bed. I don't need to be startled awake every morning! How did you get him to stay in his crib all night? I don't know how to approach this.

Yep Luca does that. I usually let him whine for a few minutes and he sometimes lays back down and goes back to sleep other times I need to go in and lay him down and pat him for a while. It's exactly as you described, he wakes up looking like he has no idea why he's sitting up and then gets mad because he's tired.
