Has anyone let their LO try them yet? Are they on the list of foods to stay away from like peanuts and honey?

Ross has tried strawberry baby food, he wasnt a fan. He also had a taste of a strawberry at easter but wasnt a fan, too sour. He didnt have any reaction to either, but a reaction it strawberries is really common in infants, so i think thats why they advise waiting to give fresh strawberries
my doc told me 6-8 months was fine for berries since we have no history of allergies in our families. Ive found a different answer on different sites, some say 6 months others say 12+ months

Brendan has had the strawberry banana baby food. He enjoyed and didn't have a reaction... however I am not sure what the rule of thumb is per the doctors.

She has had the baby food strawberry mixed with bananas or other fruits and did fine. But actual strawberries I haven't tried with her yet. I have seen such mixed readings on it that I will stay away from actual strawberries till she is probably one or something. I don't know yet though. Will probably ask her dr. if i remember.

I gave Hallie some frozen strawberries in her mesh feeder the other day. She seemed to like it ok.

Colby has had them with no reaction. He's also had peanut butter ice cream (thanks to my lovely husband ) and eggs without any problems. I have begun to give him "forbidden" things without incident because there are no food allergies in our family history. The American Pediatric Association no longer recommends waiting until a year with most allergenic foods and my Drs (who follow these guidelines) don't think it's a problem. I just need to watch him the first time he eats one of these foods.
The changed recommendations are toward the bottom of this page. Forbidden Baby Foods to Avoid Feeding to your Baby | Foods Baby Should Not Eat - What are the Forbidden Foods to Avoid when Introducing Solids Your Baby

I agree with Krystal.
Nathan has had strawberries and eggs, and a bite of his sister's peanut butter sandwich. if any of us had severe allergies to anything we would avoid them.
honey is another thing entirely though and should be avoided.

We haven't given Adeline anything with strawberry yet because I had a reaction to it when I was a baby..

Alivia hasn't had any strawberries, honey or nuts. I will be waiting on those until she's 12+. Peanut butter will probably be around 18 months.
My kids don't have any allergies to foods, but when they were babies, their mouths did get red and stuff when they were exposed to any nuts (thanks to my hubby) so I will be waiting on that for a while.
Alivia did have a reaction to fresh bananas the other day, so they are a food to stay away from right now. She can tolerate the jarred bananas though and loves them. She has also had jarred strawberries and loves those too.
Her pediatrician said we can start her on egg yolks now so I will be making her some of those now with her meals.

We have some allergies that run in our family so I'm waiting until 12 months.

I have severe allergies, none to food though. I think we are going to wait until Tommy is 1+2 as well.
