Ok, so ive mentioned this before....

School lets out in a week and half for the summer. I will be keeping Emily home from daycare with me from May 26-August 1. What am I supposed to do all day??? I need some ideas for things we can do. I hate sitting at home doing nothing. What do you SAHMs do all day?

Where we live, we are stuck indoors for about 8+ months out of the year, so in the spring/summer months, we are outside and doing things everyday.

For us, with me being a SAHM of 4 kids, these are some things we do in the summer: spend all day at beach/ocean (our fav!), go to lake that has a huge play park, sand/beach, miles of nature walking trails (our 2nd fav), go to parks/activities with fellow homeschool friends, go to my sisters house (who has 3 girls) for kids to play outside, go swimming at my moms apt pool, be outside in our yard all day with dh, go berry picking, take walks, go to library storytime, go to the zoo, walk downtown Bellevue and Seattle, go to waterparks, etc etc

For us though, since we live in the subburbs of Seattle, nestled between the mountains and ocean, there are endless opportunities for us to do countless things.

At her age, she will love doing whatever it is mommmy is happy doing

Can you join some "Mommy groups"? That way you can get in on some play dates with other moms. Even hanging out at someone's house can be fun when the babies can play together, and you get in some adult conversation time.

I do a play date about once every month. We do shopping together, and I clean. We hang out and play with her toys and watch some cartoons. Every day is pretty much hinged on whatever she feels like. I spend most of the in between time figuring out meals. Maggie grazes all day long, so I feel like I'm almost always tied to a meal of somekind.

We go to the park, play in the backyard, go shopping, read books, clean, I'm looking forward to doing some exploring around here this summer.
