Since we've moved to PA so almost 6 weeks, Noah hates to take a bath. It's to the point of when we walk through the bathroom and he sees the bathtub he screams. I tried putting him in there with Keegan, various water levels, and temperatures, I even put him in there with a swim diaper on the other night. I don't know what to do because he absolutely hates bath time. Any suggestions?

My girls are bath lovers. They come running/crawling as soon as they hear the water.

Only idea I have is you getting in with him and playing around, and maybe he'll get used to bath that way? Also, run the water before he even see's or hears it. Then slowly get in with him.

Does he have a toy he's become attached to? Any chance you can coerce him into the tub by including his toy in bathtime?

Do you still have an infant tub you can sit him in? I know that kids deal with change in weird ways. Could just be the new tub he's taking it out on.

Good luck?

My daughter also loves the water!! Ugh, I'm sorry, I don't have any good ideas... have you tried a different bathtime?

this was kenna a couple weeks ago. she slipped and fell and went face first into the water (which was only a couple inches) a couple months ago and ever since has been terrified of baths. the only way to get her back into loving them was to bathe her in the infant tub on the counter in the kitchen and then a couple weeks later moved the infant tub into our bathtub and then finally just put her back into the tub without the infant thing. it was a slow process but she once again loves the bath

Maybe I can try putting him in his bumbo seat in the kitchen sink, we got rid of the baby tub when when we moved, then transition him back to the tub. Now to find the bumbo...

Is he afraid of the water running? Maybe have it all full and ready to go before you bring him in so it's quiet?

Why not try bathing with him? Ethan has always taken a bath with me and he loves baths. He will come crawling when he hears the water and start babbling and I swear the other day he said something that sounded like "baaa" (bath).

Also are you putting him in the tub with the water running or after?

The bumbo is not very stable in the water....I tried it when DD was younger. It floats. Noah might be heavy enough to keep it down, but if he starts squirming, it may tip and make his fear worse.
