How's your Monday shaping up? Did everyone have a good weekend?

I had a good weekend. My BIL flew in from Michigan and he had never met Julia or Ty before. I think Julia completely wore him out She was making him play with her for 2 days straight! But ahhh it was nice for us...hahaha! Also my 15 y/o niece came and stayed the weekend. Our home is her home too as we helped raise her and she has lived with us most of her life.

My Monday is the usual taking care of kids and getting the house in order from the busy weekend.

Today hasn't been too bad so far but I'm exhausted. We live in a duplex and last night our neighbor shot and killed himself and the bullet is lodged in the wall between the units. We had cops here until 1am.

Oh my goodness, Lisa! That sounds awful. Did you guys hear the shot fired? That would've scared the crap out of me; that's just not something you expect to hear in your home. I hope you guys are getting some rest today.

Actually we didn't. They are always loud so we dismiss a lot of sounds without thought but I don't know how we missed that. I know he did it in the bedroom clear across the house so maybe he muffled it somehow and over the TV we didn't recognize it? It traveled through 3 walls before it stopped in the wall of Aaron's bathroom. I've been on edge since. I'm so glad we're moving in a few weeks.

OMG that is terrifying! I'm so glad y'all are ok.

We had a great weekend. Best one in a long time. Carlos actually had the whole weekend off. He came home at lunchtime on Thursday because of the rain, and had off until this morning. We spent a lot of family time, and he also played with Jr a lot so I could get a lot done, and he also helped out a bunch around here. I feel so relaxed today with all of the housework done. I hate weekends where the place gets trashed, and then they all leave me to clean it up. Best Monday I can remember in a LONG time!

Crazy about the shooting! That is a base housing duplex, right? Very sad.

We had a good weekend. My parents drove up for the weekend and it was really good to see them.

The only bad part was the weather....crappy and cold. But it's beautiful today and I already got my run in outside.

Yeah, it's base housing. It's a horrible situation and there's still a ton of officials coming and going out of the house today.

I'm very eager to move after everything we've seen and gone through living here. It's sad that base housing isn't a place that I want to raise my child.


With said said...on a happier note: 16 days until we move!

my Monday is great!!! I just got my diploma and im offically a dental assistant and got my radiology certificate as well!!!

Everything is actually pretty good, so I dont have any complaints. Just been cleaning up the house today and debating if I want to go out and try to mow or just let it be until dh gets home tomorrow. I haven't mowed since last year so I dont even know if I can start it. I just hate when our neighbor mows because then it makes our yard look horrible and tall... LOL

I am having a GREAT Monday! I am feeling super productive, I finally got all of her b-day decorations finalized (so she was able to do my listing) so it's ALL DONE (Well, I have already realized I forgot a few things so she'll have to do a separate listing, but the "big stuff" is taken care of! Sophie's party is going to be a "Princess" theme. (Yeah we're so original, haha)

I am also doing laundry, which I'm almost done, and I'm cleaning out Sophie's drawers since I can't stop ordering summer clothes!

I'm seriously bouncing off the walls this morning, I had wayyy too much coffee.
