Well, it's official... Avery hates me. My baby refuses to sleep. In the last few days she's gotten really good at pulling herself up, so now she pulls herself up in her crib & screams for someone to come get her. Not crying, screaming at the top of her lungs. Oh & she jumps. She gets herself so wound-up that it takes me a good 45 mins to get her back to sleep. She did this no less than 4 times last night.

I'm exhausted this morning. Mike & I are in agreement that there's nothing wrong with her (she breaks into this huge smile when you open the door), she's just exercising her new skill. I hope this passes & quick...

Yeah, when Stella first could stand up in her crib it was really hard to get her to sleep at night or back to sleep. It does pass though!

Anytime Aaron hits a big milestone he decides sleeping is overrated. It normally passes within a week or so. I hope she goes back to sleeping for you soon. It's so draining. Good luck!

Ug, I feel you! Hope she figures it out soon!

(With Emmett, I realized he thought he was "stuck" standing up. It took him a bit to get over his fear of lowering himself back down to then go to sleep).

That was exactly Lily too! Now, I just make sure she's ok, let her figure out and then when she's put herself back down, fallen asleep, I go scoot her so she's laying better.

I just wrote a blog post about her teething issues combined with her standing and how she ends up sleeping.

Yeah, I think this is part of the problem. She hollers for me to come get her when she's standing other places in the house, too. Its just not as awful as at 3 am...

Sorry, it shouldn't be much longer until she realizes how to get back down by herself.

Hope you have a better night tonight

I still believe in the power of the Seahorse. (LOL)
Amazon.com: Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Soothe and Glow Seahorse Blue: Toys & Games

P.S. - It's like $10 cheaper at Target.

No but seriously, when Sophie was first pulling up she would get upset too...but if I hit that seahorse she became too interested in that to stand up (at night at least) and would fall asleep by the time it turned off
