I know at this point it's regarded as fine for our babys to eat meat, but it just seems so early to me! I've given Omair tiny pieces of chicken every now an then, but nothing that could be considered part of a meal. On top of that, purred (sp?) meat just seems gross.
Are you all feeding your babies meat yet? If so, what kind(s) and how are you cooking and serving it?

same as you, we just give her bits of meat but since we don't do jar food, she doesn't get the pureed meat. I agree with you, it seems kinda gross.

He's been eating meat since 8 months.
I make chicken & rice a lot. I chop the chicken so it's not stringy but still fairly mushy and add low sodium/no sodium broth & rice and he loves it.
I've also made ground beef and ground turkey with noodles, again with broth to make a bit of "gravy". Basically bland hamburger helper. He will also gladly eat regular hamburger helper or spaghetti...he doesn't mind the sauces at all.
He's also eaten bits of ham, chicken and beef (whatever we're having) and will eat tiny bits as long as it's cut up small.
I've given him a few bites of hot dog and hamburger (obviously in small pieces) when we were out.
Oh, and he's eating scrambled eggs quite regularly and loves them.
Basically, he will devour whatever you shove in his mouth.

I dont do jarred or pureed meats they look yucky to me, and Ross wont eat baby food anyways. He eats what we eat at dinner so if e have meat then so does he, he just gets some finger food size pieces but so far hes doing alright with them
Ross has had chicken, ground beef and turkey and pepperoni (dh shared his pizza with Ross and he went nuts over pepperoni)

I think the pureed is totally gross, it smells gross too! I haven't given him any kind of meat yet. He still gags on a lot of things so it makes me nervous to give him little chunks of meat. As he gets better with gumming things I will give him bits of chicken.

I've given DD the purees but it was just eww to me so I stopped buying it..lol However the stage 2 apples and chicken wasn't that bad and she actually liked.
Outside of that we haven't done much meats. And in all honesty its because I am to lazy..lol or if I make it to where she can have it she is either not interested or has fallen asleep..lol

Brendan loves all the stage 2 "dinners". Turkey and sweet potatoes, Creamy Chicken noodle, etc. I've never done the straight meat in the jars, that looks gross. We also haven't tried bite sized pieces of meat because he has no teeth yet..

Jackson will not eat baby food, never has. So we never attempted the pureed meats. He typically eats small bites of whatever we are eating at dinner so we have given him small bits of chicken, and I think one or 2 bites of salmon. I gave him some hamburger last week and he absolutely hated it, haha.

All of melanie's food is homemade like krystal I also make chicken broth which I use to puree her food. She is eating now little pieces of meat on her own but before we did puree it and add the broth

Nathan eats everything we eat, so long as it isn't too spicy/fatty/sugary/salty etc
