Any of you reading to your babies yet? I know it's important, but Omair could care less. He just wants to eat the book or tear the pages. I have some friends who read as part of the bed time routine and it's just so sweet to see it...I have to say Im a bit jealous. So let's see where we're all at, shall we?!

I need to try again, but I've just been bad about the whole bedtime routine. Once I'm off school in 2 weeks, I'm going to start trying to re-establish the bedtime routine and include reading, but right now I'm just struggling to get everything done in the evenings and Ellie falls asleep hanging out with me and goes to bed when I do.

lol, this is Alec, too! He likes pointing to the book like we do but he's not actually pointing at anything in particular, he just likes to hit his finger on the page.

Just started reading to her again last night. She likes it but wants to play with the pages so I checked the box 'I try to, but it's usually a fight. '

I said "Regularly and they love it" but that's only half true He has these 4 board books with real pictures of objects/animals that my mom gave him that he LOVES and he will sit and listen to us tell him the names of the things ("tractor", "puppy", etc) and he also has this touchy feely book that he loves (you know, the ones with the fake fur, etc) but those are the ONLY ones he will sit and let us "read" to him. Any other book I try, the ones with the real pages, he gets bored and just wants to rip/eat the pages.
