Are you going to use the spray or Lotion? I found a spf of 100, is that even possible to have that much protection. I thought I read somewhere that anything over 50 really doesn't matter.

I think you're right about anything over 50 doesn't do much but usually costs more. We are going with the lotion. I know when I have used the spray on myself no matter how careful I *think* I am being, I end up missing streaky spots and getting awful sunburns. I don't trust it and since I am pretty sure Brendan is going to be as fair skinned as me, I want to know that I've got that sunscreen slathered on.

We have both the spray and the lotion, but I prefer the lotion. Ours is SPF 60.

We also have both, I use the spray on dd with the lotion on her ears and face. Those areas tend to get red quickly on her. Both my kids are really fair skinned, I think i will use the lotion on Tommy to make sure it covers everywhere. DD hates the lotion so I make sure to spray a lot and cover most areas. Ours is spf 50 but was thinking about getting the 100, probably won't sine it really won't matter.

I've been using California Baby lotion on Ellie since she was 6 months old, since we're in Phoenix and outside a lot. I'm not sure what the SPF is.

I'm glad you asked this - I just bought the baby-ganics brand lotion and I think it is SPF 50. Has anyone heard if this is a good brand? I'm not sure if organic sunscreen is as effective as non organic ones. Not sure why I think that, I just wonder if it has all the necessary protection.

I had a site that I looked at last year that says what the best one is safety wise and all that with the chemicals. but can't find it.
Anyways I bought Banana Boat lotion Baby with an SPF of 50. And its anything over 30 is a waste.
I was actually hesitant on buying it since I know that its anything over 30..lol but figured was safer for her skin then the kind we have which come to think of it the ones we have is only probably a 15 since I don't use any

We have Aveeno 30 spf lotion. We just use it on all of us. Well except me. I'm using banana boat tanning oil.

I use Waterbabies spf 100 lotion - I think the spray is too messy & sticky.

I've also heard that anything over 50 is a waste. However, I disagree. I am extremely fair skinned and will turn into a lobster if I stick my arm out of the window. I still burn with spf 50...very pink at the least. I went to Florida last summer and spent 2 weeks outside using spf 100 and came back slightly darker and never got any kind of burn. So...considering Colby's skin is translucent, I have spf 100 for him also. We used it when we went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago and it worked great...only one tiny red splotch on his cheek where I apparently missed.
