What do you all have? mobile, thing that hooks to the side and plays music, something sitting on the dresser? kenna has nothing in her crib or surrounding it and i'm wondering if maybe she had something it might make her happier and less traumatized when she wakes up

Aaron has a light blanket, a small Tigger doll that he hugs while he sleeps and a sleep sheep or whatever it's called (it makes heartbeat, ocean, and a few other noises). That's it. Most of the time when he wakes up he fusses a little and starts playing with Tigger until I can grab him.

Because I'm a horrible mother (according to a "friend") Ali has a stuffie that plays music (Violet dog thing from leapfrog), a stuffed frog, a ball, and a couple duckies. She plays with them when she wakes up in the morning giving me a blessed hour of extra sleep, or a half hour of sleep and a lovely shower with no screaming babies.

I put a couple of Infantino toys hanging from links on the side of the crib and one of those Fisher Price things that with lights and music that also attaches to the side of the crib. Sometimes I put her musical giraffe or a doll in the crib with her to snuggle with when she falls asleep, but she's never too interested. I used to be much more paranoid about removing everything when she sleeps, now not so much. She definitely will play around in her crib for 20 minutes or so when she first wakes up in the morning.

we have the fisher price aquarium ...and she has a stuffed toy or two in there (some of the smaller ones). that's about it. Still no blankie -- she moves so much I think she would get all tangeld up in it. Had to take down the mobile awhile ago since she could stand and grab it. I put Violet in there sometimes too.

the key for me has been an itouch. We have the itouch on the dresser that plays music for her come bedtime...it's kind of like white noise. She literally falls asleep instantly at night when she goes in there.

We have a mobile, a thing that hangs on the side and plays music, a small teddy, and a light blanket, and she still wakes up screaming and won't stop till I come get her.

Yeah, no amount of toys will stop Emmett from yelling when he wakes up. I think it's because he gets to nurse after he sleeps and that kid is addicted to the boob.

Kaileigh has tons..lol..

1 mini pillow pet, 1 tiny taggy blanket, 1 big blanket. 1 mobile (I never turn it on though) 1 fish aquarium that she knows how to turn on when she wants. Two toys clipped to the crib to play with. Her laugh and learn puppy and throw in a block and a play phone. Those are only there because she took them to nap with her. Everyday she usually takes something "odd" in there. I couldnt tell you the last time she woke up crying because everyday she wakes up and plays for AT LEAST 20 minutes then I go get her. In the mornings she wakes up and plays about 40 minutes before I get her. It gets me a few extra zzzz's .

I used to have this Amazon.com: Fisher-Price Precious Planet Melodies and Motion Soother: Baby in there but the way her crib slats are, it didn't feel secure and I was afraid it would hurt her.

Now all she has in her crib is her Twilight Turtle (Amazon.com: Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light, Sea Turtle: Baby) and Fisher Price Seahorse.

I also have a Mobi Tykelight on her dresser that she can see, I have it where it changes colors
Amazon.com: Mobi Tykelight Glomate Plus: Baby

Maggie has a top sheet and comforter, a couple of stuffed toys and we have the same fisher price aquarium that Ally has. We hardly every use the aquarium, and never when it's time for sleeping. She needs absolutely nothing else happening to get to sleep. I've even had to turn off her night light.

She takes Violet to bed and a blankie. She's been waking up in a good mood recently (aka not screaming bloody murder).

Avery only has 1 little stuffed lady bug. She has zero interest in it or any stuffed animals at all. Ethan had already latched onto a lovey by this time. I wish she had a toy she like that would amuse her when she first wakes up. Instead she just screams & jumps up and down.

Luca has a small pillow (bad mother, I know but he likes it) and he listens to Amy Whinehouse on repeat all night. I don't know why, but that CD has him comatose instantly.

Caleb has his CloudB Giraffe...the boy will not sleep without it, and a fisherprice activity box thing that hangs on the side of the crib. It doesn't play music or anything but it has different activities on it...like a ball that spins. Caleb is my easy child...he just plays until I come get him.

I have a few toys in Hunter's crib, but he doesn't pay much attentiont to them. A glow worm, a vintage winnie the pooh, and a rubber duckie for chewing. We have the precious planet thing Holly showed, but never use it. We also have a tiny love mobile, and have removed the mobile part but still use the music box.

I've learned if Hunter wakes up crying, he's still tired, and if he wakes up happy and playing. He's up. He'll just roll around talking, laughing, kicking for a while before we have to get him. He'll only be fussy if he's peed through his diaper or cold or uncomfortable. DD used to wake up screaming. I HATED it. Worst alarm clock in the world!
