How many scrapbookers do we have among us? Do you do traditional, digital, or a hybrid?

I started digital scrapbooking because there are so many freebies out there, plus I don't have anything to clean up when I'm done. It makes it easy to stop in the middle of something, especially now that I have to chase Ellie around. I am way behind though. I am trying to make a 12 page scrapbook with a page for each month of her first year.

How do you do digital? I've done traditional for awhile now, but would love to try digital for all the reasons you listed above

I choose traditional because that is the way I've always done it. I did a page for dd's first year and really need to start tommy's. Like Lisa, I'm not really sure on how to digital scrap book so that is why I haven't tried, It seem like it would take up less time.

I did 'traditional' but that's only in theory bc I haven't had time or space so far. But this summer, now that we have our new bigger home and I will have a bit of down time (again in theory LOL) I plan to finally do the baby books/photo albums for all three kids. I'm positive it will take me yrs to do these!

If you google digital scrapbooking there are tons of sites out there. That's how I found it when I got started. I figured I do everything else on my computer, there must be a way to scrapbook there too. Basically you need a photo manipulation program like Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, or if you want something free, GIMP. Then you download elements like papers, ribbons, frames, buttons, and all the sorts of things you would use in traditional scrapbooking and move them around in the image program with your photos to arrange your page. You can learn to add shadows and things like that to make the pages have more depth and look more realistic and then you print them and put them in your scrapbook albums. I can post some of the sites I use when I get home from work and the Digital Scrapbooking forum here on JM has some good info too!

TBH, I plan to use the siggies ppl make me to print out and glue in my kid's scrapbooks. That's why my new siggy is worded the way it is. So, I'm cheating.. but shhhhh... don't tell them in 'SiggiesRUs'. I'm not sure if it's allowed LOL.

Of course I can't imagine anyone NOT wanting to print out the things they make.

Honestly, sometimes I don't print out everything I make. Sometimes I post my pages in galleries online or in my facebook for people to look at if I don't have a specific scrapbook I want it to go in. Since it's all digital, sometimes I'll just scrap random stuff on a whim.
