Anybody ever drive through West VA (I-79) and Kentucky (I-64)? We're taking a road trip and I was wondering what those interstates were like, i.e. lots of hills/mts, pretty, boring, etc...We usually drive through PA and OH, but there's always construction in OH and we've driven that way often enough that it's a little boring...

Kentucky is beautiful. Never stayed or stopped there though.

It's been many many years, so I'm no help. Maybe someone else here can help.

What's your destination? It's been a while but if I remember correctly I-79 through West Virginia is straight through the mountains but it really is a beautiful drive, IMO. 64 in Eastern KY is a little less mountainous but still hilly and not a bad drive but possibly a little on the boring side. If your heading West towards St. Louis it'll take you straight through Louisville and it's just small rolling hills and an easy drive and kind of boring. If you're wanting to head south from Lexington on 75, I'm not much help since I don't think I've ever been down that way.

Michelle, yeah, we're heading towards St. Louis, so we'll be passing through Louisville.

It sounds MUCH nicer than the I-70 drive and I think it would be nice to get to see some more of West VA and Kentucky.

thanks ladies!

My husband drives that way to visit his fishing buddy in KY. He loves that drive. There's only a couple places he gets no cell signal is all.
