Every Thursday we will be doing Thursday Thoughts. I or Mandy will post a link to a national news story and ask for your thoughts. This is NOT a debate thread. Its your opinions on the article or story. It will vary on what it's about. Meaning it could include weather, politics, trials, medical, etc.

Todays is : How do you feel about the Schwarzenegger love affair that ended with a child?

I was shocked. Not by the infidelity, but the child. I feel bad for Maria because she stood by and defended him when there were other allegations. Overall I think it's a sad situation in general where these men in powerful positions think they can get away with things like this - the IMF guy, John Edwards, Clinton, etc.

I'm sure there's more to the story that we don't hear, but I think if he did this 14 years ago and has been "clean" since, I would probably forgive him if I was his wife. Who knows, maybe more will come out of the woodwork like what happened with Tiger.

It sickens me. I know the "news" isnt reliable..lol. but they mentioned he and this woman had an affair for 10 years BEFORE the child was conceived. So that would had began 23 years ago. I think what really bothers me is the woman passed the child off as her husbands, and was still working in their home until a few months ago (January). Maria has been such a strong woman and I hope and pray nothing more will become of it.

I am SO upset about this story, I don't know why---I didn't even really "follow" Maria Shriver or anything like that.

I think the thing that bothered me the most was that the "baby mama" and his wife were pregnant at the same time. The story on TMZ said that people from Arnold's "staff" were even at the baby mama's baby shower. I do think it's great that the media is not showing his kid's face BUT that really doesn't do much. I mean they already know where she lives and have been interviewing neighbors of hers in Bakersfield, CA.

I do think it is awesome that Maria got to go on Oprah's final show as well (They took a couple of jabs at Arnold from what I read!) haha

...and I ALMOST feel sorry for the baby mama. People are going to tear her to shreds, and while I do think she's at partially at fault (If you're stupid enough to have an affair, why not use BIRTH CONTROL? Come on) you know that seeing articles, "Why do powerful men cheat on their beautiful wives with ugly women" etc. are going to sting a bit.

I hate John Edwards (and it broke my heart what he did to his dying wife) but at least Rielle is somewhat attractive. Arnold's chick is kind of gross.

I hate people who have affairs. I can't respect a person like that, ever.

I agree. If your marriage is that terrible, get a divorce. Don't drag your wife/husband into a mess.

I think Maria Shriver must have had some ideas of all the womanizing that Arnold did, and maybe she ignored it, or thought the relationship was still worth it, but I can imagine that the idea of her housekeeper being pregnant the same time as her, and working in their home for another 10 years, occasionally bringing the boy to work is a whole different level of betrayal.

I am not going to read the story, what little I have heard on the news is enough for me. Infidelity is horrific enough without a child being a product of it. I have zero respect for him at all. I have been on the recieving end of affairs in the past both as a child and as a young woman. One finds their own way to deal/forgive/not forgive whatever, but it is a feeling that never truely goes away. It is something I would personally never put another person through. The pain can be unbearable and that is all I have to say about it.

I can't imagine how terrible for that child.

I had zero idea that Maria and Arnold still had younger children. 13 years old and for your life to turn upside down because your dad made crappy choices?

Adults can process their garbage. Kids are kids and don't have the same ability to do so.
Shame on him for his selfishness.
