Are you competitive? Do you hope your LO will be?

I try to be a good sport about stuff, but man, I hate losing and challenging me by saying that I won't be able to do something or I'm not as good as someone else at something is a surefire way to make sure that I try to kick your butt at it. I do think some competitiveness is a good thing in kids because it can motivate them.

Dh and I are both competitive. I will try to teach my kids to do their best and be a good sport. I hate losing though!

I can be obnoxious when we're playing board games in a group because if I realize there's no way for me to win, I'll spend the rest of the game making sure someone else loses. Haha.

I am so not competitive when playing other people in games but when it comes to DH I am very competitive. He is such a sore loser when it comes to games..lol We used to play Risk all the time and I can never beat him and I finally had enough and wiped the board off the table and said screw you. Haven't played since and that was 2 yrs ago..lol Oh and he very much will cheat to make sure he wins.

Now when he plays other people he is not as bad..lol I really hope the kids will be good sports. Its part of life.

Occasionally, but I give up pretty easily. Winning has always been depending on my mood. I'm most competitive about artistic things than anything else. Mainly bc it's the only thing I have a somewhat big ego about so it gets at me when someone is better.

Yes and no. I can be really competitive with games and such, and I do like to beat DH especially, but I'm not athletic at all so the whole sports thing...I just don't care about. I do like to do my best but I truly don't get upset if I'm not the "winner". I hope Colby has some ambition and competitiveness but also realizes that winning isn't everything.
