It's taco night here and normally we make Aaron a chicken breast and veggies when we're having something he can't have but I'm debating giving him some of the taco meat tonight instead of chicken. We make our own seasoning mix and it's pretty spicy so my question is, do your kids like spicy foods? Should we tone it down? He still has pretty bad reflux too and I don't want to aggravate that. Thoughts?

I'd do it but just tone it down, we had enchiladas the other night that were a little spicier than normal and Noah ate them just fine, except for one bite he got a chunk of something really spicy that made him cry but he was fine after a quick drink of water.

Last time we had tacos, I just kept some of the browned ground beef aside for him before I added the seasoning. You could always do that if you are unsure about the spices. That said, Wyatt had chicken with paprika the other day at his grandma's house and really liked it.

I remove some of the meat before I add the seasoning. It's just a tiny bit, maybe 2 tablespoons.

I ended up just cutting the cayenne in half and he LOVED it. It was a huge hit. Thanks!

The only change I made for Aaron was I cut the cayenne in half. We love it!

1 Tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 & 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Thanks from me too! I only ever used the package for tacos too...I make a chili powder that looks similar in the ingredients. Looks like there's just more of it! awesome! I always wondered how I'd go about it.

Max loves spicy foods. One of his favorite foods is a spicy hummus that our friend makes, he eats it as a meal
