Are you an only child? If not, what's your birth order? Has it affected your decisions when it comes to having children?
I'm the oldest of 4, 3 girls and a boy. My brother was the baby and he was the one that I was always closest too. There were about 18 months between each kid in our family and I think it created a lot of rivalry between my sisters and I, though thankfully we're much closer now that we're grown. I really wanted my first child to be a boy because I always wished I'd had an older brother, but I think I made a pretty decent big sister, and I think Ellie will as well. I always thought I'd have 4 kids too, but since I'm already 32 and I'd like to have at least 3 years between kids, we may end up stopping at only 2 or 3.

I have a brother who's 3 1/2 years older then me. We never really got along growing up, but now we're pretty good friends. It took a lot of bullcrap to get there though.
My husband is the youngest of 3, his sister is 15 years older then him and his brother is 11 years older. So he was pretty much raised like an only child. He is close to his sister but has nothing to do with his brother.
We both wanted 4 kids, possibly 5. It just felt important to us to have a big family. We have spaced our older two like my brother and I, they're 3 years apart. Dane and Bishop are 21 months apart, closer then planned but can't do much about it. Bishop and our next baby will be about 3 possibly 4 years apart.

I have a sister but she is much younger than me, shes still in elementary school, so i pretty much grew up as an only child.
So when i was smaller i knew i wanted more than 1 kid, weve decided on 3 or 4 and since my sister was so much younger i wanted them close in age. I didnt realy mind being an only child, i had lots of cousins but it was a little lonley at times, i always wished i had a sibling

I am the oldest of 4 as well. 3 girls and a boy who is also the baby. I am 18 months older than my sister then there is an age gap of 12 years between me and my next sister and 13.5 years between me and my brother...we do all have the same dad..lol. People always ask that question, not like it is any of their beezwax. We are all pretty close but that has not affected my decision on how many kids to have. If we have anymore children it will be just one more, if we aren't done already...the debate is still out on this.

I Have an older sis about 8 years older than me. Due to the age difference we were never close. When I had just gotten to a stage of my life she had left that one and was on to a new one.
After I got older and became less of the "annoying little sister" we started getting along and till today we are still great friends.
I deff want melanie to have that relationship
but I would like it to be closer in age.
I also always wanted more siblings so maybe we might consider having 3 little ones.

I have one sister who is 6 years younger than me, we got along until i hit the teen years and stopped wanting her around, we haven't really got along since. I keep hoping our relationship will improve now.
I really would like to have 3 children.

I have several half siblings, but I grew up with a younger sister and brother (I was adopted). my sister is 3 years younger and my brother is 11 years younger.
I am happy with the 2 kids I have, but I really feel that I might need to have one more some day. I just don't feel 100% done. my daughter keeps telling me she wants a sister lol.

I have a sister who is about 3.5 years younger than me. We have always been pretty close, I love her to pieces.
I would like to have 2-3 children in total. I think I would be happy with 2 (especially if the second one were a girl) but would feel truly blessed if I had 3. I always wanted a big brother, but I think that's only because I had the opposite and the grass is always greener, haha.

I am the oldest with a brother 5 years younger and another brother 8 years younger. I was always the babysitter for them and they were my always my "little" brothers. Now, I'm pretty close to the one 5 years younger and I get along well with the other one, just not as close.
I would love to have 3 or 4 kids but I'm getting old, so I'm not sure how realistic 4 is. I would like to space them out a bit...about 2 years apart. I would love to have another boy then a girl...older brothers would be nice I think.

I'm the oldest of 3 girls. My one sister is 4 years younger than me and the other sister is 18 years younger than me. She actually just turned 18 a month ago.
My sister and I were never close growing up. She was the 'annoying one' and I was the one 'in charge'. I'm much much closer to her now that we have kids the same age and you don't notice the age gap anymore.
My youngest sister is more like a daughter to me. She actually grew up with my DD#1 (they are only 6 years apart), so they are like siblings and love to hang out together.
The only thing that has influenced me is the need to have a boy, just because it's been all girls in my family.
