Finances

Are you in charge of finances in your household? If not, do you wish you were?

I keep a budget spreadsheet for me and DH, though we don't always manage to stick to it.

DH always asks me before spending money on something that's not in our budget and sometimes I have a hard time saying no. I'm pretty good at rearranging payments though so we're usually not too tight if we go off budget. It does stress me out sometimes though.

No im not, and I have desire to be, Derek does all that stuff and I prefer to be left out of it

I pretty much handle it. I'm really good at saving money and making sure important stuff get's covered.

I am and I wish I wasn't. I also tend to let dh buy things I shouldn't. I also buy things I shouldn't and I hate getting all stressed out.

My big thing I spend on that I shouldn't is going out to dinner with friends. We just had 3 friends move here since March and I've missed going out with local friends so much that we've been going out with them more often than we should. We bought a Costco membership last weekend to try to help us do more cooking and things like that, but then we spent so much money there, that I'm stressed over that!

I just have to remind myself that the stuff we bought there should last a while so I don't have to budget it in like I usually do.

That is always are problem too. I will buy large quantities of groceries and get all worried that it will get wasted because we eat out too much. Whiles I like to spend money, I hate wasting it, that stresses me out.
