Do you throw parties or get togethers are your house? How do you feel about your children attending things like that? Or are you more of an introvert and prefer to avoid situations like that?

My DH's parents had a lot of gatherings at their house when he was a kid and he always remembers being allowed to go and hang out with the adults. He was a very well-spoken child, and we think that is probably part of the reason is that he was conversing with grown ups at a very young age. Since we have friends nearby us now, we are hanging out at each other's houses pretty regularly on the weekends now and I feel like it's good for Ellie to get the interaction with other adults, and since we are there too, she feels very secure. She doesn't have any problems being held by our friends or playing with them.

We dont have many parties, just because our house is not really large enough to have more than a few people over at a time, we are having a BBQ for Ross' bday and we will have our whole family over so im a little worried about the space but hoping since its a BBQ people will favour being outside

I am very introvert however I love hosting things..lol
Since moving we don't host anything but in the past we always had people over for either BBQs or just a night drinking and playing games.

I will have no problem with DD going to parties when she is older.

I'm a complete introvert but I'm fine with people coming over. However, I live in the tiniest house ever, so if anyone comes over, it's just another couple or something. I would love to have a place big enough to have BBQs and such for family and friends...but I'm horrible with people I don't know. I will encourage DS to go to parties and make friends...I think it would be great to not be shy like I am.
