What is your love language? Edified.org :: The Five Love Languages

Mine is touch, which I have been realizing lately is why DH and I have been feeling a little separated lately. With the breast-feeding and bed-sharing, I have started feeling a little touched out and am not spending as much time just being with DH, even without being intimate, as we used to. It's really something I'm trying to work on and it's part of the reason I'm going to start transitioning Ellie out of our bed next week.

Mine changes depending on whats going on in my life like when DH is deployed I very much miss the time together. My primary one and always is my top one is gifts. We got the books when we went through a Marriage Retreat the Army offered and DH knew before I even shared that I would be gifts..lol Quality time is my close second.

DH's is acts of service with touch being a close second.

I really enjoyed the books and when I read it had a lot of ahh ha moments..lol I want to get the one for kids as well.

Touch but I already knew that one. Time and Words are tied at second then service and no gifts at all. Bad thing is DH likes getting me gifts and is NOT touchy-feely

Quality time won out, and I knew it would. Acts of service and and words were tied in second. I am not into touch lately.

Acts of Service with Quality Time as second. Pretty much right on. I'm soooo not at touch feely/gift receiving person. However, I love to give gifts. And I can hug and love on Colby all day long. Poor DH...

Oh yeah it kinda sucks having gifts a primary language..lol I mean at first I was so upset buy it because it just seems so superficial. But at the same time I love gifts no matter if its homemade or boughten. Problem is though DH doesn't do gifts all that much. Shoot not even cards. Like my birthday is Tuesday so we shall see if he actually remembers it even. But I don't complain to much about it either since he does try hard in other areas.

My birthday is also Tuesday! And my DF sucks at gifts also. If he gets me something it usually sucks. He's so disappointed because this year him and my mom went in on a kindle for me....he was going to tell me he had to go into work early on Sunday and pick it up. But today my mom said she wasn't sure how to buy what she wanted to get me and thought there may be different ones so she said "We are getting you a kindle...How much do they cost?....Here is the money". He was like, "Why did she do that?!?! I told her what i wanted to do, i had it all planned. Finally i was going to have a good gift/surprise for you but now its ruined." Poor guy.
