Growing up were you closer to your Mom or your Dad? Has that changed now that you are an adult?

Until my brother was born, I was always closer to my father because I was kind of like the de facto son, I guess. As I got older, I got closer to my mom and now she lives near me so I see her more, but to be honest, a lot of times she gets on my nerves even though I love her I don't keep in touch with my dad as much as I should but I am trying to be better about that and I'm hoping to take Ellie to visit him in Texas this summer.

I am very much a daddy's girl. Always have been. But I am close to my mom as well. The older I get the more the relationship changes from mother daughter to more friendship type even though she is still mom..lol

I was definitely closer to my Dad growing up. I was a major Daddy's Girl. I didn't have much of a choice though. My Mom was sick with Multiple Sclerosis and disabled from the time I was 3 years old until she died when I was 19.

My mom, when I was younger and now. I am not very close with my dad at all. He is an alcoholic (severely) and he is still in denial. He lost my mom because of it. I do still talk to him and see him every few months so Jackson can know his grandfather, but we are not close. My mom is amazing.

I was definitely closer with my dad until just more than a year ago. now my mom and I get along for the first time since I was 12. dad and I still get along fine but he's usually busy working on stuff when I'm around them and mom and I talk more.

Mom. And yes, still. My dad is manic depressive, bi-polar, and an alcoholic. He and my mom are still happily married but he and I have never been close bc of his issues. I do have a long convo with him about 2 to 3 times a yr though. Funnily enough last night we spoke for about an hour. It was kinda nice.
