So...i just figured i'd see what you ladies thoughts were on this. My df and i are planning on getting married next fall...we're planning on having a honeymoon, nothing too fancy but we plan on going somewhere different. We have tossed around the idea of just bringing Sam with us. I think i would be a very nervous being away from him for a few nights (or so). And i would likely spend much of the time wondering how he is and what he's doing...and holding back from calling to check up on him. Also i think it would be nice to experience a new place with him. One of the only drawbacks i can think of would be the lack of romance and one on one time between my df and i.

What are your thoughts?

maybe you could see if a set of grandparents would like to take the trip as well, then they could keep Sam so you can Kevin can have some romantic time, but you wont be away from him either

I struggled with leaving DD for 2 nights while DH and I stayed in a hotel for our honeymoon, but I did it because I felt it was important for me to spend some one on one time with my new husband. besides, staying at grandma and grandpa's for 2 nights isn't exactly torture. you only get married once and there will be plenty of family trips in the future.

We took DD1 on our honeymoon when she was 9 months old. We went to St. Augustine FL, and Jacksonville, FL. It was fine But do you mean this fall 2011? Or next fall 2012? By next fall you won't feel very bad leaving him with the grands for a couple days. I like Bree's idea though.
