Living with family

Do you/have you lived with family other than your SO and LOs?

My mother and one of my sisters have both lived with DH and I at some point. I really liked having my sister living with us and we had a lot of fun. I didn't mind my mom living with me, but I don't think I'd want to live with her long term. She lives about 10 minutes away from me now and I see her often, but I think we'd get on each other's nerves if we lived together permanently.

We currently live with my mother, it has its advantages and disadvantages.

We've lived with my parents for a couple of months in between houses. I couldn't do it for long. Too many cooks in one kitchen. I like my space!

When my DH deployed, I spent the weekends with my parents for the first few months, and then after I quit my job, I basically moved in with them. We still had our house, and I went home every few days to take care of the cats and stuff, but I always stayed with my family. I am so grateful they let me stay here with DH is gone. I'm actually here now, LOL! DH has Guard drill this weekend. Anyways, it's not easy to go back home after having my own space, but I do like having the company and the help with the kids. I don't think it's something I could do long term.

I've never lived with or had any of my family live with me and dh. I could only live with my other or sister on a long term basis. Anyone else no way.

We have lived with DH's family on several occasions and it was pure hell. NEVER again.

When I was with my ex-husband, we lived with his parents (and bro and sis) for a while, his parents were cool so it wasn't too bad.

At the end of this week we are moving in with my mom for a little while (probably about a month). I am looking forward to it cause we haven't seen very much of each other since she moved away, (1.5 yrs ago) but I know about a month is all I can take. I love her (and my stepdad) but I do like my own space, as does DF. We are only living with them so we can have time to find an apartment and jobs, as it would be almost impossible to do from here.

I lived with my parents till i turned 18, that was enough for me!

I lived with my mom and little brother up until this past February. I liked it (rent was cheaper) and she helped me with Holden when she could, but I'm so happy to be out on my own. I see her all the time tho at least twice a week and I just moved about a mile and a half down the street lol I can't stay away from her!
