Update: Just got back from the Dr. It's definitely hand, food and mouth disease. The blisters on his feet now look terrible and they are up his legs. He also has some angry sores on his butt and a few tiny ones on his hands. The Dr. did find one small sore on the back of his throat but other than that, I guess we are lucky to avoid the mouth sores (those are usually really painful for the babies).
So, I'll be staying at home this week with my dirty slum child, haha. I guess I will put the running stroller to good use during our quarantine. I told Emmett to play with all of his toys because I'm burning them after this week to avoid spreading the plague.
Anyone's kid ever had it? I think Emmett might have it...but not 100% sure. He's been running a fever for 3 days and absolutely miserable/fussy.
He has blister looking things on some of his toes. And he has a few red bumps in his diaper area. But, he doesn't seem to have them anywhere else. I'm going to get a pic up in a few minutes. It's not the greatest as he is so wiggly.
Also, he is cutting a tooth so at first, I thought it was that.
And, I gave him a bit of dairy (with some macaroni and cheese the other day). That did not go over well. It upset his tummy and he had a mega blowout....so it could possibly be a food allergy too.
Thoughts?

Grace had hand foot and mouth last year. She had a high fever of 104 and had blister all over the inside of her mouth, down her throat, on her hands and feet. The most common sign is a refusal to eat. It was too painful for Grace to eat. It is highly contagious and takes a week to clear up. It's a virus so there is no medication for it, it has to run its course.
of course I'm no doctor but to me it sounds like he was a food allergy. Good luck.

I've never see it, so with out googling it, I would say food allergy. Of course, Im not a Dr so if it doesnt get better I'd give a call to the pedi tomorrow.

My niece had it as a baby. She is 15 y/o now though so I dont remember how she looked or felt, but we took into drs and they told us what it was. I also dont remember how we treated it either. Either way, I hope he feels better.

Yeah, he definitely doesn't have anything in his mouth/throat and he is eating just fine.
So, has anyone had clear blisters on the feet with a food allergy? I guess if they were more "hive like" then I could buy it...but they are definitely fluid filled angry looking blisters.
Should I take him in? Or give it a few days as long as his fever stays low?

I'd take him just to find out what the heck it is. It doesn't sound like HFM since it isn't in his mouth at all, but maybe it starts little sometimes? I'm really not sure. Hope he feels better soon!!

I'd take him to pedi. A 3 day fever and blisters sounds serious enough to warrant a visit!

DD's blisters looked smaller than those but every kid is different. Even if it's not HFM those blisters look bad enough that I would take him in if they don't look better tomorrow.

I don't have a clue what is causing that, but I would take him to the Dr as soon as possible. It may be nothing, but I'm one of those moms that would rather be safe than sorry and err on the side of caution. Hope he feels better soon!

It doesn't look like HFM. It hasn't been warm enough here(we only live about an hour from you) to be from the heat. With the fever I would most definately take him in tomorrow. The toe blisters are just so odd...I'll be curious to find out what it is.

No idea...poor Emmett!!! Hope it clears up soon, whatever it is! I agree about taking him in, just so you can find out what it is, or at least what it isn't!

Poor E! I remember having hand, foot, and mouth disease when I was little but obviously a lot older than him.

Did you take him to the Dr? Ethan had HFM last year & it looked a lot like that, but he only ever got the blisters on/in his mouth, not on his hands or feet. They seriously went from looking like a heat rash to blisters in less than 4 or 5 hours. He never ran a fever of over 101 (but rarely runs a fever, he never even got a fever from the ear infections).
Was Emmett outside at all? It kinda looks like it could be poison ivy. Do they seem to itch at all? Are they oozing clear liquid?

Poor baby Glad you took him in though, and got a definite diagnosis. My 2nd cousin's daughter got it when she was about 3 or 4 years old, and it was so bad she had to be hospitalized, so I always get scared when I hear of someone getting it, especially a younger baby like Emmett. Hope he is on the mend soon, I'm sure he's just miserable!
