I was wondering what ya'll were planning on doing after your LO's turn 1. I have never used the toddler formula before and M&M are quite the chunky butts. Their pediatrician is old school and is pretty indifferent about it. What do ya'll think? What are the pros & cons of both?

I have no idea. I got a sample of the step 2 enfamil single packets that says age 10months- 36 months. I havent tried it, but my plan is to just go to milk. In fact my pedi said to begin giving her some at 11 months then by 12 months be completely on whole milk. I've given her a few cups of soy milk but havent done any cow milk. I hate the thought that she'll be 11 months next week. It's come way to fast and I'm not ready for her to not be a baby Sorry I got off topic, I've been pretty emotional about loosing her as a baby.

We'll be going straight to regular milk. Both of my other kids did fine my daughter threw a fit when I took her off breastmilk and put her on whole but she adjusted after a week of two of persistence from me. Alex took to it like a fish to water.

We're almost fully on milk over here, but her annual dr's appt won't happen til the 14th of June. I'll find out then if he wants me to continue the trek to milk 100% or maintian some formula. I'll follow his guidance on it. Right now though, she's doing really well with mostly milk.

We've been giving Jr. half formula half milk, and he's doing really good. He's been having that for a while, so I guess I could probably up the milk amount at this point. Both of the other kids did great on regular milk. As far as I know nobody in our family has any trouble with lactose, so I'm not worried.

Leah's a skinny minnie, but my pedi recommended going straight to whole milk. She views Toddler Formula as a money gimmic, and says it's not really necessary unless your baby isn't taking hardly any solids.

We switched Ali to the toddler formula this week. It's cheaper (yay!) and since it isn't covered by WIC, I can actually find it on the shelves without showing up the day they stock it. She seems to like it so far. I plan on switching her once we get the ok from her Doc.. it's complicated because I have a dairy intolerance and I want to make sure she hasn't inherited it.

I plan on going straight to milk but we're waiting until a year. I probably won't give him any until we discuss it at his doctor's appointment and then his WIC appointment is few days later so we'll be getting vouchers for whole milk from that point on, I'm guessing. So I don't know if we will do it pretty gradually or just go ahead and switch.

Max is nursing and I'll introduce whole milk to him at a year at meals but I doubt he'll stop nursing anytime soon. He shows no interested in water or juice in a cup but we'll keep trying

Ours said the same thing but I might do half and half for a while like I did with Noah. Luca's hardly eating any solids these days.

I'm planning on just doing milk...I think we will wait until she is a year or very close to it and start replacing bottles one at a time.

Stella turns 1 next week, but since we just moved I could't get her in for an appointment until July 5th. I'll probably keep her on formula until then since she is allergic to dairy. I don't want to switch her over to 100% soy milk until I talk to the doctor, but now that she stopped nursing, I'm spending $50 a week on Alimentum formula. I didn't look into getting a prescription for it earlier since I was using so little, but it's getting ridiculous now.

We're keeping Aaron on straight formula until he turns 1 and then introducing rice milk. He's allergic to dairy and soy so we have to buy nutramigen which is 65 dollars a week but I really don't have a choice. I'd love to only spend 20 dollars a week on formula!

I used toddler formula with Julia until about 18 months, then she went on Silk Soy Milk until she was almost 4 y/o. My twins, I kept on regular formula until 18 months but they were 3 months premature so they needed it longer. For Ty, he is breastfed and I will continue breastfeeding for who knows how long, and will not be giving him regular milk until 18 months +. I am in no rush at all to give cows milk. Just constipates my kids and they dont need it.

I mentioned in my previous post I got a free sample in the mail of toddler formula. I tried it today and it said 1 packet in 4 oz water. I gave it to her and she spit it out and refused to drink it. I tasted it and oh my! It was awful! LOL Im sure other babies may like it, but I think because she's been so used to soy formula this stuff tasted nasty to her. LOL I wont be buying it though.
