My LO is now fitting into 12 mo. sizes. I'm so confused on why I can't find normal PJ's in this size. they are all skin tight with tags saying they must be tight fitting because they are not fire proof. They look so uncomfortable and I refuse to squeeze my baby's arms & legs into them. I'm kind of upset I wasted money on 2 pairs of PJ's, I threw out the tags & washed them not knowing they would be so tight.

PJs fit really weird. I know exactly what you mean on the fit, it makes me crazy too.

i almost bought the footed ones your baby boy has on in the picture... they have them for 6.99 at our bj's which is like a sam's club wholesale place....
I believe why they make them so tight is so they can move and flip and flop in thier sleep without getting all tangled up in them... ya know when you wear a night gown and the front of it is on your side cause you have some of the night gown pinned under you.... i think there was also something about that they are to be snug fitting because of fire hazards and pj used to be so flamable . i think i have read a label saying something about a snug fit.
I know what you mean tho... i got a new one for wyatt and i had to squeze his arms in them .... it was just tricky to get him in them when all he wants to do is get down.

That's strange. Jackson has been fitting into 18 month and 24 month clothes and PJs for a while cause he's huge. I have noticed that some of his fleece onesies were getting really tight but since it has been warmer out he has mostly been wearing 2 piece PJs- they are all Carter's I believe. They look roomy and comfortable.

same thing happened over here I got a pair of old navy pjs size 12 months from my SIL and when I tried to put them on melanie the pants fit fine but the shirt looked like it was cutting her circulation ...Now melanie uses size 3 to 6 and starting to fit into 6 to 9 so If those pjs did not fit that is a really bad size problem

I hate one peice PJs because Ross is so tall he needs 18-24 months for the length but then they are huge in the width, since its warm in the house at night now hes usually just in a diaper and t shirt. Finding 2 peice jammies in little sizes is tricky

I bought Carter's 2 piece PJs and they are not the snug fitting kind and I like them. They are roomy and comfy and thin for summer. I got them at Walmart Walmart.com: Child of Mine by Carter's - Baby Boys' Pajama Set: Clothing but I've seen similar Carter's at Target too. The only downside is that the shirt can ride up, but if it's on the cooler side I just put a onesie on him as well to keep his back/belly covered. Also, he's not only long, but he's got a long torso so one piece outfits are getting difficult to find now, so the 2 piece set is nice.

Claire has the 2-piece jammies from Carter's, too, and they fit better than the one-piece ones. Kid's clothes are really hard to figure out sometimes!

I put Stevie to sleep in either his sleepers (which he is getting too tall for) or just a onesie.

Wal-Mart also has two piece PJs that are Faded Glory. You can get a 2 pack for $10. Lyla has been wearing them for a couple of months and they have washed really well. They are soft and comfy. I could only find a couple of options in the store, but there were quite a few to choose from online. Type sleepwear into the Wal-Mart search bar and you should find them.

i was telling my husband the same thing!
we call them his skinny pajamas! (from carters)
so skin tight its crazy, last night he was just in a onesie and like the other girls said the two piece from carters fits much better
i just like him in the one pieces, but with it getting warmer out i doubt he'll need them much longer

I've been buying the 12mo 2 pieces at walmart and target. I do put a onesie under the jammies because I hate his belly sticking out.

I know about the 2 piece outfits, I see them everywhere but they are 100% polyester and I'm trying to avoid that because of my LO's eczema. I might just give it a try though and see how it goes. The PJ's that my LO is wearing in the picture are from carters and are cotton, but they are not soft at all. The first night I had him wear them he was up all night tossing and turning so I haven't wanted to try them again.
So now I have another question - are you letting your babies sleep in short sleeves when the weather is warm? The weather here has been weird and our house will be hot in the early evening, then will get cold during the night. I wish I could find a long sleeve sleep sak to slip on the baby late at night when it gets colder.

We live close to you so I completely understand about the weather! I've just been keeping Brendan in his long sleeve sleepers. They are cotton and not too heavy and he seems to be comfy. The one time I did try short sleeves he was up screaming in the middle of the night, but I don't *think* it was because of that. Of course I haven't put him in them since, because well I enjoy sleeping lol.
