Ok, this is a minor gripe but still, it bums me out. I just started putting hairclips on my daughter a couple of months ago and am having a ball (bought a gazillion different kinds), but now her thing is to pull out her hairclip and chew on it. So I've been keeping them out but her hair just hangs in her eyes like a shaggy dog.

Does anyone know if this is just a phase? I keep trying to sneak them back on but she can obviously feel them. I don't think they bother her, I think she just likes playing/chewing on them.

Yeah London use to do this and she started when she was about 7 mo. Her hair is really curly and super thick so normally bows and barrettes stay in, but as her hair gets longer her barrettes are hanging down and she can see and pull on them. I started telling her no and distracting her and it has actually helped alot. Also she wears bows, barrettes, those ponytail holders w/balls on a daily basis so she has gotten use to it. She actually knows that they are suppose to stay in now! hahaha

I learned with DD1 to use those tiny rubber hair bands. Her hair was so thin and straight that nothing would stay in, much less survive little hands.
