I'm in a total clear out mode and I have a ton of DD's old clothes. Usually I sell stuff on Kijiji, but it's sometimes a hassle meeting people to arrange pickup. I like to sell clothes as a lot and people always want me to split it up. So I was thinking about Once Upon a Child. Do you just take the stuff to them and they pay you or is it more like a consignment thing? Is OUAC worthwhile?
My other thought would be to have a garage sale, but we don't live in the city anymore, so I don't know how successful it would be.

We took a bunch of clothes, JohnnyJumpUp, and high chair. They bought the high chair, JohnnyJumpUp and one onesie, which is what this particular OUAC's site said it would (everyone's got baby clothes and they're inundated).

I'd check with your local stores Once Upon A Child | Locations
They're also different in what they'll take: eg, one of ours deals in maternity clothes, while another doesn't!

Let me know how your experience goes with it for sure. I tried WeeCycled here, but they only take name brands like Hilfiger and Polo etc...like who the heck buys that for their kids so often they need to consign it?

I also tried Kijiji, and it may have had to do with the time of year or the fact that it was clothes vs gear, but I let the ads run a week with absolutely zero interest from anyone, so after all that, everything just went to the Sally Ann anyway. I had to get rid of it. We're trying to declutter and pack away stuff for a storage unit so we can paint and put this house up for sale. No time to dilly dally with bags and bags of kids clothes any more.

We don't have a Child of Mine around here, but I never have any luck consigning clothing. The only way I've been able to get rid of huge amounts of clothing (other than donating) is in a yard sale. My neighborhood had 2 community yard-sales per year & I'm having a "all things baby must go" stand at the one in September. Do you have a friend or family that lives in an area that might be better for a yard sale?
