My son is OVER baby food! He cries when I feed it to him. But now, I'm at a loss of what to give him...What all are you guys feeding your little ones? I don't feel he is getting enough food when I give him a little of what we are eating....

Claire is the same way...she wants the real stuff now Claire eats what we eat for the most part, but it that doesn't work I always have a back-up plan. A few things she likes:
- macaroni and cheese
- pasta (Ditalini and Pastini are awesome) with butter
- avacado slices
- applesauce
- fruit (peaches, pears, etc)
- cottage cheese

This is making me hungry! Avacado has been a stable of my diet lately.
Sam hardly eats baby-food. He chokes whenever i give him anything more solid. I'm not sure what to do about it but he's still gaining good off the breastmilk for now so i am trying not to worry.

Stretten pretty much eats everything we do, I just break it up smaller for him...he eats, fries, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, meat, chicken, cookies, chips, crackers, actual veggies and fruits, I just make sure they are tiny pieces whatever we have to eat he eats

Macie is the same way - she refuses baby food. She eats almost everything we do: burger, hot dogs (skinned & cut in tiny pieces), chicken, beans, bananas, peaches, berries, lots of pasta, green beans, corn, broccoli (cut up), avocados. She amazes me with her appetite!

Lyla eats EVERYTHING!! For example: I made pasta salad with tortellini the other day. It had olives, shredded motz, bell pepper, and diced pepperoni and she gobbled it up. I just cut everything into manageable pieces and let her go to town. I do spoon feed her things like cottage cheese, applesauce, and yogurt too messy if I don't! My go to food if she can't have what we're having is frozen whole wheat waffles. I cut one up and let her have that.
We are struggling with fruit though. She really prefers veggies.

I have the same problem with my LO! I feel like he is not eating enough, but he wont let me spoon feed him anymore. These are the finger foods I give him, some days he eats good but most days its just a few bites:
carrots (cooked so they are soft)
peas
cubed sweet potato
cubed squash
steamed apple
ripe pear
ripe banana
blue berries cut in half with the pointy parts removed
chicken pulled apart into tiny pieces
ground turkey
cheddar cheese
Everyone is saying that their LO's eat whatever they have for dinner, but what about oils, salt, etc? Maybe I'm just too paranoid? Lets say I make chicken with seasoning on it, would it be Ok to break it apart and feed him the inside? Does the salt seep through?

Does she pick up the Pastini with her hands? I haven't tried that yet because it looks so small I didn't think my LO would be able to pick it up. Also, do you use whole wheat pasta or regular? I made some whole wheat rotini and cut them into small pieces and my LO choked on it. Maybe the regular pasta would be softer.

We are finishing up the baby food I have. But she is starting to eat what we have more and more.
Pankcakes
hotdogs diced really small
chicken
mashed potatoes
broccili
pasta
yogurt
I'm not to worried about the oils and stuff like that and even some spice she seems to like. But the main reason I'm not worried is the amount she actually is eating is so small.

We don't cook with much salt or sugar at all, so I don't worry about giving her what we eat. There are a lot of spice blends, etc. that don't use salt (Mrs. Dash!). We use healthy oils, so I think that is okay, too. Heck, the Cheerios I give her to snack on are probably more unhealthy than the regular food She doesn't pick up any pasta with her hands...she still lets me spoon feed her for the most part. I couldn't find whole wheat pastini, so I used regular. I have noticed that the whole wheat stuff tends to be a bit more firm and chewy, so I'd try the regular and see what he thinks.

We use minimal salt, but I have given her chicken with BBQ sauce on it and she did fine! We use the Smart Taste pasta and it isn't chewy or firm. PP said that was the case with whole wheat pasta and I agree. If you have Smart Taste in your area it's a good option.

Tommy has been eating more and more of what we eat. He likes pancakes, waffles, toast, fruit slices, mashed potatoes, veggies anything really. I just cut it up really small for him to grab.
