I was more inclined to choose the dress too but asked DD1's opinion. She chose the shorts. I'm going to go ahead and agree with her on the grounds that the dress, hat and shoes are all the same color and it's overwhelming.
Long story short.. The 2nd.

The second. The dress is a little too much of one color. Plus, the separates of the 2nd option can all work with other pieces, too. And I just love the little detail of the pink flamingo on the shorts!
