I've got to just dump all this out:
Lyla has her fourth ear infection. With the ear infection come lots of snot and coughing. Since she can't handle all the snot and drainage, she gags and throws up. We should have just stayed in the shower last night. She and I both went through three showers and three sets of pjs before she finally was able to go to sleep. Guess who was the only one not covered in puke? My husband. So Lyla sleeps for a couple of hours in her crib before she wakes herself up coughing. I go to get her and bring her into our bed. DH doesn't even wake up. She sleeps with us for a couple of hours and I put her back to bed. When she wakes up this morning it's me again who goes to get her. I'm feeling like I'm alone in this right now and needed to vent. Sorry for the unpleasantness!!

HUGS! So sorry. Holden has a ear infection right now too and they truely suck! He does the same thing Lyla does, falls asleep, then wakes himself up by coughing or not being able to breathe cause of all the snot. And being a single mom, its all on me. I hope she feels better soon and starts sleeping better so you can get a break,

Thanks ladies! Sometimes I do feel like it's all on my shoulders. DH tends to say, "you just have to ask and I'll help." But, I feel like nobody asks me to clean, do the laundry, make the meals, and of course take care of Lyla. I feel like he should be able to see what needs to be done and just take care of it.

Thanks again for all the support! We made it through today without any throwing up! Fingers crossed that she sleeps through the night. On top of everything, I felt one of her first molars coming in. This poor kid is such a trooper!!

I get that all the time and like you I feel he should see what needs to be done and do it. But then when I start doing what I asked him to do because he procrastinated so long, he gets mad at me for doing it...Sorry you are dealing with this, I hope it gets better for you soon. Maybe talk to him about it and tell him you shouldn't have to tell him to get up with the baby when he hears her crying get up. DH has been much better about helping me at night when Tommy gets up after we talked about it. He just thought i enjoyed snuggling with him so he let me do it..... While I do love to snuggle him in the middle of the night, I do love to sleep to.
