How does JM Top 50 work?

Was wondering what constitutes as a busy board. Do they only go by threads that have over 5 posts?

There was that mini-challenge thread where we are to bump up threads that have less than 5 posts so that's what led me to believe that.

If that IS the way it works, then there's still a lot of threads with less than 5 and we should try bumping them today and tomorrow before the month is over, right?

Is there a thread somewhere on JM that explains about the top 50? I tried searching it and couldn't even find a top 50 list.

Hosts sign up and we submit our top 3 threads. The posts that people have been doing isn't really connected to it. It could get us a spot as a board with a bunch of new posts. But since there isn't a lot of replies to those threads I can't use them in the top 3 posts. I only have one post submitted I am trying to find 2 more give them.

Basically boards are signed up by hosts, we do what I just said above and then they go through all the boards that were signed up and place them accordingly.

So I have 1 busy thread listed to them, I need 2 more. The mini-challenge I think was just to make sure posts that were started got answers to them. They don't really go into the top 50.

I hope that makes sense.

They also look at the number of members on our board (from the roll call), the number of posts on your board, and the quality of posts on your board. They have three categories for ranking the order of the boards � the number of posts, the members to posts ratio (since a board with 15 members won�t have the same number of posts as a board with 100 members on it), and the quality of post. The mini challenge was to get more people to respond and keep some of the threads at the top so maybe they would get more replies.
